My quarterly hat.. another Titleist Pro V1/FJ pro mesh hat. PS: Dear Team Titleist, please for the love of everything sacred open your hearts to those of us with abnormally large domes and offer us an XL hat @ 60-62cm. It takes 8-10 sessions of light-headedness and blurry vision before my L/XL hat fits somewhat comfortably! :pound:

Couldn't agree more. I find the relax fit adjustable hats titleist has are awesome. They're somewhat hard to find.. The type stricker and DeLaet wear.

Garmin Approach S1 - $150. Not bad.

I thought about a rangefinder, but figured for me, its not worth $300-$400 and am not the type of guy who will want to pull it out for every shot

I feel your pain Spyder, but it's far from just Titleist. What drives me crazy it's the difference in size in two identical hats. I don't have much in the way of local options, and it makes buying online a risky proposition.

My wife has caught the golf bug (totally unexpectedly) so our recent visits to the golf store has been outfitting HER with clothes, equipment, etc. Dropping a load of cash in the golf store isn't a new thing at all but it's usually all for me... That said, I did grab a Nike Vr driver on clearance for $40 and a few boxes of Callaway Hex Hot Pro balls on sale. Come on, spring!

Just pulled the trigger on 13 GP New Decade Multicompound grips to re-grip with before the season. I love how the NDMCs look and feel but I wish they were a bit cheaper. I found a decent deal and paid less than $8 per. Went with the all blacks which I'm pumped about.  I think they'll look pretty good.

I'll be looking at grips tomorrow myself. Just not sure what to throw on the new AP1 712s. It's a toss-up between Winn DriTacs and GP NDMCs (Black/Red).

I really like the feel on the GP NDMCs. They are firm and there's a good amount of feedback. I actually have a set of the Black/Red on my clubs now that the all blacks will be replacing.

My buddy just put the DriTacs on his clubs and they feel pretty nice. In my opinion they felt a bit softer than the NDMCs but still a very nice grip. I don't think you can go wrong either way, just what feels better to you. Also, not sure if it's a big deal for you to have a cord section on the grip, which the NDMCs do but the DriTacs don't.

Put a SuperStroke Slim 3.0 on my Versa #7.

I really like mine..Much better than the stock grip.

+1 on the New Decade Multicompounds. Was never really a fan of corded grips but really like these. Solid feel and decent feedback - not as much as I expected from a grip as firm. They are pricey, though. Would love to hear where you found that deal - I'd grab another set now to keep on hand for the next regrip.

Depending on where you're located they're on sale annually at a grip event usually each February for about 40% off at GolfTown or GolfSmith.

I know what you mean about these grips. I just bought a set of Nike Covert Irons and had them re-gripped with these beauties and I must say they look and feel great. I spent $9 per grip but my local shop dosen't charge for installation so I didn't feel so bad.

Ordered from Edwin Watts. They had 10% off, they gave me an instant rebate coupon $10 off, and they had free shipping. Math came out to approx. $7.92 per grip.

Yeah I have a 5.0 on my old putter and I really like it. However I had been testing putters with the 3.0 and decided I liked it the same, plus it fits in the golf bag a lot better.

Just got back from buying clubs at a Pawn shop. Yeah not a gollf store but at least the clubs will be used for my PGM classes and not...who knows what they might end up being used for in this college town lol. Got about 15 older clubs including an old persimmion driver and a blade 3 iron. All for 75 dollars.

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
