Hello all.

New to the forum. Just a quick question: I'm new to golf (this being my second season) and I just got my first bag. On the course today I noticed that the top full divider (its a 4 way) is not attached at the sides. The bottom one is however. Is my bag damaged or is this normal?

Thanks in advanced for any input.

I would go to the store where it was purchased and look at another bag to see if it was the same.
Also I would ask the question to an employee and show them what your concern is.
Without a good visual of you decription, dividers should be attached.

I see a grip poking through into a quandrant it wasn't intended to be in. I see a fastener about half way up holding the fabric divider to the frame. I wouldn't say it is damaged, but probably a poor design? I don't see any evidence of torn seams or loose stitching from the photo.

The nylon divider has torn from the side. It’s inevitable. Look at the other side where it’s still attached.

Thanks everyone for the feed back.
I will tray and get a better picture, Its tricky getting down in there.
I bought this online, I may just contacted Callaway,

@Vinsk. Is this something that happens a lot? Would it be worth getting a replacement?

Some bags have good dividers, some are just bad (whether based on quality/durability or design).

Its hard to tell anything is torn in that pic, my guess would be design.

It’s pretty common when they use such thin nylon vs a rubber handle. You may experience more club tangling, but it’s gonna happen again if replaced. I’d let it be.

    • My flop shots are 6-7° down (AoA). Does that answer it? 😄  The longer answer is… You have to be able to do both shots.
    • I hope you don't mind me raising this one from the dead. I got shortgamechef's video access thing for a few months in 2024. I watched his yip fix videos (the general gist is similar to the first video above, but with a lot more detail) and it made a lot of sense. I was working on it in my backyard off a mat for a while and my yippy thing was mostly gone. Aside from anything else, the flop shot using that technique is so easy and controllable. But I got onto a golf course for the first time of the year and found myself by the green on a downslope with the ball sitting down a little in the rough and I was, not to put too fine a point on it, f***ed. Shallow is all well and good from a good flat lie and I understand it, but you can't make that your be all and end all. I still don't know if it's a good idea to use steep all the time or just when you need to. I have a hard enough time with one technique, let alone too.  Just got a pitching skillest lesson with Erik and unless I misunderstood things some, he wants me a bit steeper. @iacas - where do you fall on the steep vs shallow argument and how do you vary it according to need?
