Perhaps you’ve seen this already, but this kid’s behavior is unbelievable. It’s a missed putt by an amateur…. Let it go.

If you’re wondering the kid had to pay the course  $5k for damages

That right there is the perfect example of the negative side of social media. Hope his internet points were worth $5k.

I’d have him arrested. It’s vandalism.

Videos like these are scripted in an attempt to make the performers TikTok heroes. This was likely filmed for a purpose. Hopefully this clip is used as evidence to make the kid pay.

Tik Tok has too many bad role models!

I assume a judge was involved to force the fine and I’m glad he got fined but judge should ban him from social media for 10 years so he can’t profit from the views.

It could be a course where they're going to rip up the greens the next day or something, too. In other words, totally staged.

I don’t think so. The follow up story was that that the Head Pro at Bear Club, where this incident took place, has banned the child in the viral video of his meltdown. The Pro said there will also be “$5,000 of property damage fines” enforced.

That’s one of those troll accounts and I don’t know what “Bear Club” is. It’s not the Bear’s Club by appearances.

Well not my responsibility to prove this is real or fake. I’m just sharing something that the PGA Tour site tweeted and I saw in AppleNews. No way I could say whether or not this is the Bear’s Club by appearances

I didn't say it was. I only said:

You can't believe much of what you see online, particularly on social media sites. Too many "doing it for the engagement" types out there.

He should have to pay:

  1.  The $5000 repair damage

  2.  Pay any and all earnings from social media from posting this video to golf charities

  3.  pay all court costs associated

  4.  Take Anger management course

Take a closer look at the tweets.  They were not from the PGA Tour.  Look closely at the spelling of the account that posted it: “@PGATuor” and notice the intentional spelling error.  The logo looks similar to the PGA Tour’s logo but it is not their logo.  I initially missed that until @iacaspointed it out.

still, do not know for certain if the video was staged or not.

Staged or not, it was effective. It got the views. Of course if it was real then yes, ban from course, pay for repairs, etc. Like @iacas mentioned, can believe a lot of what you see on social media.

Even if it was staged, he had permission from the head pro, and the green was getting ripped up and redone shortly?

We don't know enough factual information for you to make that judgement, IMO.

    • Day 22 - 2026-01-11 More mirror work. Back outdoors tomorrow.
    • Day 11, 1/11/26.  Today was putting, along about 6' of carpet, with coins on the ground to keep me cognizant of what I'm doing.  I think this is the at-home drill from LSW. (Ugh, missed two of the last four days -- 1/10 and 1/8)
    • Day 9: 2026.01.11 Hit some balls at the range, concentrating on weight distribution at address, got some on film.
    • Day 468 - 2026-01-11 Loooooong day. Did some work in the patio door (as a mirror) when I got home.
    • I caught a video on this driver; the face tech seems crazy. Looking at the heat map for ball speed, hitting it basically anywhere on the face only loses a few percent ball speed. The surprising and counter intuitive part to me was that for flat faced clubs, ball speed loss is directly proportional to distance loss. For clubs with bulge and roll this is apparently not true. The surprising part of that story being that the max distance potential looks to be a tiny pee sized area for this driver, and I feel in general for drivers. The counter intuitive part being (the myth?) that blade irons have a pee sized sweet spot and missing that tiny spot causes dramatic losses. And that modern drivers, maybe 2017 on, have massive sweet spots and are ultra forgiving. Where in reality, if this heat map data is valid and reliable, it might be a bit of the opposite. This insane tech driver appears to have a pea sized "sweet spot" while Mizuno Pro 241 irons are 28% more forgiving compared to the average of all clubs measured. Not compared to other players irons, compared to all clubs from all categories, players to SGI! The Pro 241 being essentially just a solid chunk of metal with no "tech" at all. Which for me devolves into a whole mess of what is forgiveness really? And in measurable and quantifiable results how many yards, or feet, does that translate into?
