I'll play in rain, wind, snow, cold...anything but lightning!

You don't know cold till you've been to Winnipeg, trust me, you wouldn't play.

At least a week ago me my brother and cousin went golfing. We didn't expect it to rain.So we tee off at the first hole 10 minutes later it starts down pour and I actually got a birdie on the first hole.We just decided to play through. The whole day it was reigning with thunder and I still played a 9 over!

As long as there is no thunder or lightning, I'll play. I think it's fun to play in bad conditions, because you have no expectations on how you are going to play.

Where's the "it depends" option? Because... it depends: what course, what kind of match (if any), with whom, etc.

as long as it's not pouring down.

actually on a real hot day a shower or light rain is very refreshing imho.

but I have to cover my clubs....I'm sort of anal when it comes to that and plus I don't wear a glove so I need to keep my grips as dry as I can

I really like the rain, but I use TaylorMade clubs/grips so if water gets on them then I'm screwed, so I usually try to avoid rain, but if necessary I'll hack through a round with rain.

We average less than 8 inches of rain a year here in New Mexico so I have never actually had to play in the rain before.

JK but I don't even own an umbrella and I have only worn my rain pants one time and I have owned them for 5 years. So I don't really have any experience in the matter but it certainly doesn't look very fun.

I'll play in light (keyword light) rain if I have my club cover-upper-thingy, but if it gets worse or I'm without it I'll stop.

Heading out to do it right now! Playing in the rain means my season here on Vancouver Island is pretty much year round.

Haha i live in north vancouver :) the reason i asked is because earlier today i went out and played in the pouring rain and shot a 77, (5 over) despite having to put through puddles on the green. It was a record round for me at my home course.

It was POURING my shoes were literally filled with water after 4 holes.

I'd better learn to like it if I'm going to be playing in some British Opens, right?

I will say in a little rain yes.

Heavy downpour, no. And especially if there is a thundrestorm, then I cancel the tee time.

I have played in the rain many of times and I have not problem doing it.

I'll play in a little rain.

But if its pouring, I head back. I'm not really fond of cold rain.
