Not to debate anything else, but I voted today. I hope everyone here who can vote, did or is going to vote! I have had the same ward and precinct since my first election in 1980 and I never had to wait more than a couple of minutes . . . today I had to wait 35 minutes (got there 10 minutes after it opened). I know that's not very long of a wait, but be prepared . . .bring a lunch and maybe a chair! VOTE!

My Equipment:
Northwestern 3-, 5-, 7- and 9-wood;
Goldwin AVDP Irons (5-10 plus PW);
U.S. Golf 60 degree wedge;
See-More Putter; Bushnell Yardage Pro 1000 Rangefinder;Golflogix GPS.

I voted absentee. Lines in Columbus have been reaching the 6 hour mark. The last presedential election I voted in we had very poor organization. There were 3 precincts voting in the same building. Precincts 1 and 2 had 4-6 machines each that were empty almost the whole time I was there. My precinct had a line that was over 2 hours long. Seems like a misappropriation of resources, IMO.

Oregon is all vote by mail. I hand-delivered my ballot to the county courthouse two weeks ago.

I sort of miss the ritual of the precinct polling place.

Took care of that Saturday, first time I've early voted, walked right in. But I'm wearing my sticker today, I've stocked up on soda and popcorn to watch the returns, but I will be switching over to GC at 9 to see BBX.... jmoc

Man, I don't. My wife and I have our own ritual where we sit down and fill out our ballots together, pulling out info from the voter's guide, the internet, and mostly from the alt-weekly rags, which are surprisingly well informed.

I also never get around to mailing the ballot in, and end up dropping them off on election day, which still makes it feel a little more official. I dropped mine off at the library dropbox on the way to work. I had to wait approx. 1 minute for the two cars ahead of me. I think Oregon's 100% absentee voting is a great idea, I think more states will follow, especially if the turnout this year starts to be the norm.

I voted at 6:14 AM, after the polls here in Upstate New York opened at 6 AM. The only election that I have ever missed was one on the school budget, but I was out-of-town.
