Mine would probably be hard to rate as my clubs are unknown to most, I picked my irons as they were similar to taylormade r7's but much less expensive, got my driver because i wanted a square head driver and 3 wood because it was low profile, and hybrids were a gamble as well but it all has seemed to work out well for me. The irons came from golfballx.com's ebay store, and the driver and 3 wood from rockbottom golf and the warrior golf hybrids were from optingolfer.com and were the demo versions. All total i have about $200 in my clubs. Maybe in a few years Ill upgrade to something else but for now Ill work on improving my game and using the extra money to go out and practice and play. They are a significant step up from the walmart set I started out with. My set would take a bit more research to evaluate but im happy with them so I guess thats all that really matters. So far everyone has great looking clubs that has posted so far.

Yes as you said very difficult to rate clubs that don't really appear in all the regular test or are that common in our bags but if you are progressing with them then they must be OK.

I rate them 5 out of 10 as I guess some of the more well know club makers must be able to spend more money on development so I think you could find clubs that would improve your game more hence my rating.

Strange topic. I'm sure many (if not all) of you use equipment that is best suited to your ability, cost effective, and that is aesthetically appealing (in that order)….ideally we should all rate our own equipment a 10, correct. I'm not a fan of Taylor Made anything or Vokey wedges or Titleist drivers.

What criteria are you guys using? Looks, performance, cost, etc…

My clubs perform the best for me so they get a 10. Everyone else…. > 10. I would only expect one of you to rate mine a 10 if you use (or want) the exact same equipment.

Very nice! How do you like the AP2's?? I am anxiously awaiting my custom set... hope to have them this afternoon or tomorrow!! I'd say 8/10 overall only because I like Taylor Made woods better...

I agree with the feeling that most of us should feel we have a 10/10 since we play 'em... that said... I still throw my set in the mix... and it is a 10 to me. I've actually made it to the point where I look for equipment and don't have a nagging "want".

Bump... those J36s look so nice.

I'm sure you can attest that they look as good as they play. I picked these up last year for $200…they maybe had 6-10 rounds in them. I pulled the S300 shafts and tried Rifle 6.5's and X100's, finally settling on the X100's. I played the J36 Combos with PX Flighted 6.0's for the past 1 1/2 years. They too were/are great clubs but I couldn't stand the 4 and 5 pocket cavity irons and lost my love for the flighted shafts….so I had to buy an entirely new set

. So far I have gained oodles of control but have given up a few yards. I'll take that trade off any day of the week. They may not be for everybody but I have more confidence now then I've had in a while.

I'd take that tradeoff too - the satin finish looks good (i.e. not blinding on a sunny day), but the thing that strikes me is how well they mesh together with the Mizuno wedges. When I first glanced at the picture, I wondered what finish your MP33s had!?!?

I'll give you a 6.5 on that setup considering the handicap. Like the Interesting that you play a Niblick and no 9 iron. Only 13 clubs? I'm going to have to deduct a half of point for that as well. Total = 6.0
