Looking at this thread it seems like everyone is hitting the ball quite a long ways... I think I saw a 9-iron going 150 yards somewhere on this thread. That's like a 6 or 7-iron for me.

True, but while 150 is a big 9 iron, it's not unheard of.

one thing to look at is the jacked up lofts though i mean i am 13 and have mx 19 with jacked up lofts i think 46 pw so a 42* nine iron goes 140 for me so 150 isn't unbelievable

Altitude plays a big roll in distances. If you live in Denver, your 9 iron will go longer than if you live at sea level. When you travel and play, it is important to keep that in mind.
