Aqua please do give an update. I use the Lamkin Crossline and would love to hear about the other brands feel and performance. The good thing about the grip is you can always change a bad decision for relatively cheap. As of right now I love the Lamkin BUT have yet to play them in the summer so who knows.

I have been looking at getting some Premio's.... Do they get slick at all when they get some moisture on them?  How durable are they?

I just got them at the end of the season where sweating and humidity didn't really come into play but of the range sessions I've taken them to, awesome. No wear so far.

Waiting out the 2 feet of snow that just dropped on the course....

I recently regripped with some black widow tour silks in White. They are similar to tour velvets but look better. Also, look for the sharpro new decade style grips, they are very good and are available with or without the cord on the top half of the grip.

There is no right or wrong grip. It's kind of like asking which tennis shoe is better. It's all about personal feel. What may feel comfortable for you may not for me, and vice versa. That said, I like Golf Pride. There are several grips to choose from to get the feel and grip which will be best for your game and location/climate. Also, they are pretty reasonable in price.

Put me down in the Crossline group.  I've been playing those since High School and nothing else feels "right".  I grew up down here in FL, so I've played with them in the hot, humid summers and they've never let me down.  Much better than the GP Tour Velvet, IMO.  Check a bunch out, but remember to check out the core size in relationship to your clubs.  It definately can make a difference in terms of feel.

After checking out some grips I'm deciding not to switch just because I love how mine feel and they still have their tackiness when comparing to new grips.  I did like the multi decade from golf pride, but its not the same as to what I have now.  I'm really weird when it comes to my grips (picky), I don't like switching when I have used something for so long.

I second the Lamkin Crosslines.  Good grips, clean them every 2-5 round with mild detergent and water.

I have Titleist (Golf Pride) Tour Velvets on all my clubs but my Ping 3-iron which has some sort of ribbed grip I don't really like. The TVs work fine, it's a pretty soft grip but allows for comfortable play in the rain. For me, it's the perfect all year grip. Additionally, it lasts a long time. My irons and wedges are about a year and 3 months old but the grips feel about the same as when I first got them.

The Lamkin 3Gens are pretty tacky as long as you keep them clean. They are actually pretty cheap on eBay if you buy a 13 grip set. You can get them in white , red , blue , or black ... I have the whites on my driver, wedges, and putter. They get a little dirty during the round, but clean of easily.

Unfotunately grips are a very personal peice of equipement.  What one person likes because it's soft and tacky can be very different from another persons favorite.  What type of weather you play in can be a deciding factor as well.  I personally play the lamkin 3Gens because I don't play with a glove and I need something tacky because of the humidity up here in the summer.

I played with GP Multicompounds all last year...they were ok but expensive and they do not last very long.  I bought a set of pulls recently with GP Tour Velvets and I think that will be my new grip of choice.  Not that costly, soft, a little tacky...very nice.
