It's my 735 blade pitching wedge weakened 1* to 48*. I can smooth it 125, knock it down to 110, and hit a lot of shots with it including some nice bumps and chips.

It's the driver for me. Played a 9-hole round yesterday and drove the green on 6 of 9 holes. I love the sound when you really spank it and hear the ball fizz as it climbs away

It sounds like you're ready to step up to an Executive length course. By the end of the year, you might be playing a full length track - congrats!!

  • 7 months later...

i would have to say all my mizuno mp-32 irons. I like to get new clubs and whenever I get a slight itch to try a new set of irons that I see I hit one of these irons and it goes away. Cant say any of my other clubs are that good to not be replaced like the irons.

I honestly dont think Il be able to trade them in when I do get a new set, they are that good for me.

The long irons are so easy to hit, and all the irons feel like butter. Not to mention the workability of them.

What is your Favourite club??,the driver because you love booming the ball, and the feeling of elation that comes with it,maybe its a 6 iron because you love its trajectory and height and stopping it close to the pin as a second shot,or in fact it could be the wedge because chipping is your forte, the putter because the greens is where you shine??

I love my Ping G10 7 iron. It goes where I want it to go every time and it sticks like glue.

My favorite club is whichever one I happen to be hitting well at the moment.  Right now that seems to be my 6 iron, which has been working really well for me the last couple of rounds that I've played.  My least favorite is my driver, I still haven't figured out how to control it consistently.

I forgot to say my fav,a long iron, the 3,simply because ive never been able to use it until lately,if i needed a club of 3 iron distance i would choke down on a 5 wood,my long irons may as well not even been in the bag,not saying i'm profficient now but at least it gets airborne and usually goes where i'm aiming, well some of the time

My wedges, they almost always go where I want them. My driver and I have a love hate relationship, when I'm hitting it well it makes my game so much easier but when I'm not and I have to bring out the long irons for the second shot, I'm less than pleased.

Not the drivers fault, my fault but my wedges almost always do what I need.

8-Iron. I just don't know. I always hit it well, and it goes were I want it to go. After that comes the 52 degree wedge and ofcourse the driver (when it doesn't act up.)

    • Yes. If you choose to take the ball out of the bunker instead of taking maximum available relief… it costs a stroke.
    • I got another one today....Number 17. Par 5 that has water left and right on the layup. I smacked a drive down the left side and got a little lazy on the layup and fanned my 6 iron. With 112 to a crowned green I got it to 3 feet and birdie!  Only 5 and 15 is left for this year!
    • Maybe I didn’t explain this properly. Back and front can be confusing.  There was no place in the bunker that didn’t have 2-3 inches of rain water in it, except for a small spot on the slope nearest the pin. If I had dropped there I would be moving 6-7 feet closer to the hole. Since my ball was just inside the bunker, farthest side from the hole, I dropped one club length backward, which brought me out of the bunker. I could not have hit from that deep of water. Are you saying I would have had to take a penalty stroke due to rain water?
    • Day 550, May 5, 2024 Got a good hour in with a typical (for me) two-stick setup: pool noodle angled in front, yardstick on the ground angled 45° behind me.
    • Day 130: Cinco de Mayo Day 7/24 of Full Speed Spectrum training. Difficult training day after struggling to certify my warmup yesterday, and today. Finished 13 mph lower than my training speed on Thursday. Hope to hit some balls today.
