Rory by far! Kaymer is a very good player but Rory is awesome and will only get better!

I'd say they are both equally talented.

Whoever has more killer instinct, will be more sucessful.

Rory
younger, still has a lot to learn on tour, but can he can hang w the big boys
"My swing is homemade - but I have perfect flaws!" - Me

Definitely Rory. He's just barely in his 20s and already has a win on the European Tour, and played well at Augusta.

The thing is, how come nobody has been talking about Martin Kaymer 3 weeks ago? It's because nobody had heard of him. We've been hearing great stuff about McIlroy for years now.

I'd heard of Kaymer last year, even watched a tournament on the European Tour he won. Now he's won two tournaments in a row. Rory is younger, but we can't expect a new Tiger Woods. The other young guns which have bloomed under the absence of Tiger has yet to do something extraordinary. At this point, Rory and Martin will certainly be regulars in the top in some years, but who's going to be better? Impossible to tell.

And Kaymer is 24 and has 12 professional wins, four on the European Tour.

Kaymer has been around for awhile dude, he has a better resume then mcllroy. at my local shop theres an ex euro tour player that has been praising kaymer for awhile now.

Rory. He's competitive despite endless stupid shots and decisions. As soon as he eliminates the mental lapses (assuming he can), he'll be one of the best.

I support both, Rory's swing is awesome, I hope that they win a lot of tournaments in a near future, Martin has already started, the win at Loch Lomond I think was pretty good. I really don't know them, but to me, at a simple view, Kaymer seems a bit more "grounded" than Rory.

They are both studs. I believe Rory will be the next number one player in the world. Is his scoring average that above for all European events? That is amazing. Right now they seem pretty equal.

Yes - the scoring average is taken from:

  • European Tour - 28 events in 2008, 11 events in 2009
  • WGC - 2 events this year
  • The Masters - this year
  • US Open - this year

I'm going to go with Rory for one reason and one reason only; he has the same "I can beat everyone here" attitude Tiger has along with a calmness and easy-going mindset that keeps him very relaxed in clutch situations. He just seems like one of the most relaxed players out there, and in majors that can go a long, long way.

Rory Mcilroy!
excellent ball striker and the ability to get up and down and the ability and get to the green from far far away.
best iron tempo i have seen, yet.
