Don't see the point of them myself to be honest.
Each to their own of course, but I don't use one

I actually wear mine constantly when I play, even when putting. I'll take it off while walking if it's hot to keep dry, but I am much more comfortable with a glove on when I have a club in my hand.

I use a glove on my left hand, always have and probably always will. I usually have tape in a few places on my right hand to keep blisters away where i commonly get them.

I always take my glove off for putting however, and some short-game shots I will take my glove off as well, mostly "touch" or "feel" shots I would call them.

No glove here, I feel the club twist on slight mishits where the glove slides/moves between it and my hand. Just more stable without one.

No glove and no tape for me. The only thing I need to worry about sometimes is too much grip pressure, but blisters aren't really an issue and I feel the club much better without one.

tape on the middle joint of the middle and index fingers on both hands 99% of the time...if for some reason i'm playing in humid conditions (not often, i live in socal where it's pretty much perfect all the time), i will put a glove on, just it is such a pain to wipe down teh hands and grip before and after every shot

Don't see the point of them myself to be honest.

Not while hitting the ball - marketing ploy.

Very soon I'll be wearing gloves, a knit cap (a touque in Canada) and a scarf between shots.

I have somewhat dry skin, so I use a glove for all except putting.

In weeks when I play twice and practice twice, my hands would be raw without the glove. Glove on the left hand also helps my right hand stay intact.

I don't wear a glove, haven't for many years. With cord grips I find it better to go without a glove. Also, I'm cheap, one less thing I have to spend money on!

no glove here
have thought about it lately, but when I tried one on the other day it felt WIERD!!!!

use GP MC ND Grips, never get blisters, practice 5 hrs week and golf 36-54 holes/week - zero issues

much better feel w/out them

I wish I didn't have to wear a glove because I have a ridiculous tan line. I just don't get as solid a grip without one.

You guys got me thinking about looking into different grips.

Been playing just a few months but I play almost every day.

i don't use a glove unless i get a blister. i also use corded grips and my hands get a little chewed up, but after you build up a good calace i find no need for a glove unless its really hot and humid.

    • I mean there has to be some thought. For eg., something like 'soft knees and wrists' at set up and maybe a dynamic 'left arm to chin' as a trigger to start DS. I have these one or two anchor thoughts and have served me well. In fact, my wildest swings are the one where I have no thoughts or if I forget to walk thru my anchor thoughts. In contrast my best rounds are where I am consistent with the anchor thoughts.    OTOH, if I am running my entire half hour lesson (hypothetical) with some pro that I had last Saturday or whatever before every swing then I'm probably in trouble before I even get over the ball.
    • Two bits. Bit 1 The NCAA's appeal of Brendan Sorsby being granted a temporary injunction will not be heard until February, so there will be nothing to prevent Sorsby from playing the full season and potential CFP.  Bit 2 The Big Ten Conference will hold a meeting and is expected to ban all of its athletic programs from playing Texas Tech in the regular season. Georgia has done the same. The SEC will meet to consider a similar ban. Fellow Big 12 members TCU and Kansas State are spearheading a similar ban, but the conference charter might not allow it. Meanwhile, Big 12 athletic directors are meeting this week to explore what options the conference might have.
    • No, but I'm also in disagreement that golfers have no thoughts over the golf ball, and/or don't ever think I've met someone I truly believe is thinking nothing but "target" or something on most shots.
    • StuM,  I have, in the past, added a left handed club. (Ususally a 7 iron) However, I usually take a stroke penalty and move the ball to where I want it.  I play for fun and in a pinch can use theback side if my club if I don't want the penalty stroke.    RetiredOldMan,  Terry
