Yesterday I shot +4 front and +14 back.

A bad case of the hooks cost me a a few penalties and putting was woeful. On the 15th green I came very close to throwing my putter. (My back nine also included a birdie on the 16th..............)

50 on the front
32 on the back

I did this in a varsity highschool match in 10th grade. We had a rule on our team that anybody who shot a 50 got humiliated by the captains the next week in school. This usually had more to do with wardrobe than anything else. I ended up with super tight bell bottoms, a t-shirt made for a 5 year-old girl, super slicked hair and some sort of girl's handbag (instead of my usual backpack). There was likely more but I don't recall.

I lipped out an 8 footer for my 49 on the front. After that I was super mad at myself and quit trying to play conservative. I started pulling driver on every hole and shooting at every flagstick. I attempted to knock every put about 4' past the hole as well. Wouldn't you know it, I started hitting fairways, knocking down pins and nailing puts. My -4 effort on the back didn't help my appeal that I shouldn't be subject to the McGarret rule (that's what we called the above "hazing" process) but it did give me my confidence back for the next match.

Myself and another guy who shot 50 that day (ironically on the back nine) were the last guys ever to be subject to the "McGarret". The next year the school decided that it was a "bully tactic" and made us quit doing it. So much for a 60+ year tradition for my highschool golf team.

65 on the back, 49 on the front.

I pull off numbers like this alot (not to this extreme) when we start on the back. The back 9 has always given me much more trouble and playing it without being warmed up can start the day off on a bad note.

I shot a 40 on the front and an early celebration lead to a 59 on the back lol. It was a rather embarrassing day.

48 front and 30 on the back. i was so upset with my front nine performance i figured i needed to just get over what i did wrong and concentrate on hitting fairways and greens. that's about the biggest gap i've had

I think my brother did something like 50, 31, or 32.

My swing thoughts:

- Negative thinking hurts more than negative swinging.
- I let my swing balance me.
- Full extension back and through to the target. - I swing under not around my body. - My club must not twist in my swing. - Keep a soft left knee

I was in my Conference tournament in high school and on the first nine I shot 46 and the event was even on my home course. It was high and above my worst round of the year. The best part was the girl that would even be close to having a chance to beat me shot 45. I remember walking past her when her coach said to her "You just shoot the same round and you've got her. She's not going to get better."

I went out the next round to shoot 36, one under, and she shot the same. Wonder what she said to her coach after that?
