Raise your hand if you just got burned by Paul Casey, the defending Champ, withdrawing at the last second. Me!

PS- Nice win, GoGolfing. Clutch calls with Furyk and Els back to back the last two weeks.

Oh, yup, looks like I started him too.

Yes, burned by Casey; I even checked last night around 9 PM to make sure they were all entered, so he must have WD this morning, silly bugger.

So how many of you are taking Tiger in the Masters? I'm still contemplating.

I have had a good streak going; picked Furyk, Els and Kim in the last three weeks, and all three have won.

I don't think i will take Tiger,my gut says not yet.

I'm leaning that way too.

A guy at my home club is doing a pool, and if you take Tiger, then you have to take one of the over 50 past champions. Freddy is on the list so I was thinking of taking Tiger and then Freddy, along with 2 others. That pool is determined by straight prize money of your group.

Remember, if you have been inactive for three straight weeks, I will delete you from the group. I went in and cleaned it up yesterday based on this criteria. We still have 36 active in the group.

Alright I slacked for a couple weeks, but I was still in the middle of the field. Oh well, thanks. Hope you win again gogolfing.

I think I was one of them. Which is fine - I've not had time to update my roster in awhile.

I haven't banned anyone from the group, which is an option from the tools they have, and everyone's Yahoo team is still active, just not in The Sand Trap League. Anyone who has been deleted is welcome to rejoin and stay active. You wouldn't start from scratch with points from Yahoo, but not sure what would happen with the points for the group though. We are four week into the spring season with 8 more tournaments to go, and then there is the summer season too. If you want to rejoin, just go to the beginning of the thread and the necessary info is there.

Sandplay takes the over all lead this week; congrats!!!

I believe I had the worst week I have ever had in my three years of doing fantasy golf.... need to bounce back. Been on quite cold streak over the last four weeks.

Congrats to The Dinker on winning the Spring season of fantasy golf.

Summer season starts this week with the Travelers, so anyone not in and wanting to join, it is a good time for it.

The overall season points race is a tight one too.

Good luck the rest of the way to everyone.

Well... I couldn't pull off the three-peat. Congrats to Hogans Ghost for winning the overall pool, with a 35 point victory over your truly, and Nicky Woods in third, 172 points behind. Probably the best season we have had in terms of the number of guys staying active etc... Hopefully I can set it up again in the New Year.

Have a good one.

    • Unfortunately the bolded part is not entirely correct. The club-length is always measured with the longest club in the bag, excluding the putter.
    • Playing in 2 club with putter 2 man scramble this weekend and found this thread when looking for ideas.  I was planning on 4 hybrid and 50° gap wedge.  This thread helped confirm that thought.  Loved reading the comments!
    • I’ve not really noticed anything,  I’ve played in the wet and I’ve hit with a wet face because I haven’t bothered to wipe it off.  However my pattern is “Jekyll and Hyde” so I tend to either hit it pretty straight or hit bad shots that are pretty bad.   So I doubt I would notice something that was saved by a few feet due to a wet/coated club face.  Usually trees do a better job for me to keep it in play.
    • When water gets on my driver face I hit knuckleballs... not my preferred shot shape.
    • Thing is… a lot of slower swinging players could probably use MORE spin.
