The Caps choked, plain and simple. Im not happy to see them lose, but the fact is that the Habs got the job done and the Caps didnt. The Habs deserved to win. Hopefully they whoop the Pens in the next round too.
The good thing about the Caps being out is now everyone is going to elevater their game because now they all will feel that they have a chance. Its going to make the playoffs a lot more interesting from here on because there is really no clear favorite.

Have a look at my Avatar and you can tell how I am feeling tonight. After some of the classless statements made by Ovechkin earlier, it was all the more sweet of a win. The East is pretty crazy with the #4, 6, 7, and 8 seeds advancing.

Caps fan here, very disappointed in the outcome, I still think the Caps are a better team, and they did play hard, but they just didn't get it done. Hat's off to the Habs, they played great and did what needed to be done.

The west had the 1, 2, 3, and 5 seeds moving on. So now it's 1-8, albeit in different conferences.

They didnt play as a team...it was everyone trying to win it themselves. It gets you no where. I love it cause I cant stand Ovi.

You have to call it choking when its that big of an upset. Yea Halak played very well but their defenseman played amazing all series.

Previous cup winners galore in the East: Bs v. Flyers and Habs v. Pens. With Marc Savard cleared to play, I'd love to see a Bruins / Penguins Eastern Final. The 4 best teams in the West all made it through (no offense Coyotes fans): Sharks v. Wings and Canucks v. Hawks. I predict two very physical series in the West, but wouldn't be surprised to see a line-brawl in game one at Chicago (Kane and Luongo have both referred to Bobby Lou's comments to Kane during the gold medal handshake, "See you in the playoffs". Indeed.

I think it was 2006 when the West had the 5, 6, 7, and 8 seeds advance and the #8 Oilers lose in 7 games in the Stanley Cup Finals.

Pens fans would be wise to not laugh too much. Remeber, your team has to face the Habs in the next round and could easily end up with the same fate as the Caps, especially if the Habs' goaltending stays hot.

Sharks looked great in game 1 against the Wings.

It will be fun to see the egg on many people's mugs that said the Sharks would lose early in the playoffs.

      Hole 6, 185 uphill par 3, wind out of the right. I hit a 7 iron to 5-FT left of the pin. The ball landed about 185.5 yards. I drained the putt for a birdie, and most likely a skin.  2nd place is more of a best swing made. 110 yard wedge shot, where I did what I wanted in the back swing and downswing.  I hit a 75% partial wedge 95%. It was flushed, flighted, and beautiful to watch fly over the green. 🤣. I will need to redial in the wedges sometime. Since I am making an effort to make my former 3/4 swing length my full swing length.

      Yea, that makes sense.  I remember an Open tournament when they brought out the wind meter one day because balls were being blown around the green. I think it was 45+ sustained, which probably means 60 mph gusts.  I think for the most part, it isn't something that needs to be taken into account.  Also, a golf ball is designed to optimally move through the air. It has better aerodynamics than a sphere.  Thanks for your expertise on this. That makes sense. I know about how wind diminishes the lower in height you go. I didn't know it went near zero at the ground. I deal more with tall structures (utility poles), and we have to take into account height and impacts of wind on the pole. A bit of experience, but wasn't sure how close to zero, non-impactful it was on the golf ball on the ground.
