Are you consistent with your driver ? means that most of your tee shots are on the fairway.

If yes, how hard do you swing with your driver? 100%, 90%, 80%?

What is your shot pattern? straight, draw, fade?
Whats in my Golf Bag:
Driver: Nike Sumo 5000
5 Wood: Mizuno MP-001
Iron: Mizuno MX-950 5-PW
Wedge: Cobra FP 60 degrePutter: Odyssey 2-BallBall: Yellow balls

I played for the first time in a year on the weekend. I'll give you the simple answer to this question...no.

I swung about 80% with a lovely tempo, but I just couldn't keep it in the fairway. Had a nice fade on the ball though, just couldn't judge it right just yet. It'll come.

No. 1st tee on a new course yesterday I pulled it into the junk with the D, so I forced myself to stick with the 3w all day and I had a much more enjoyable time with a lower score.

It is getting closer.

I would say my swing is 85% and the shot has become virtually straight but I can slightly draw/fade the ball when needed. I am not hitting fairways as much as I would like, but my misses are much better

Not consistent enough! A bit better with my new toy (wonderful shaft) though. IF, and it's a big if(!), I swing within myself (~80-90%) I'm usually about ~70-75%. Been trying to groove a power fade but am backsliding to my old draw so I think I'll stick with that. The trouble is it's a driver....it's meant to go miles.....you're meant to swing out of your shoes . Gotta love this game.

I'm pretty consistent...usually a 5-10 yard draw pending wind...

Horribly inconsistent with the driver most days and I tend to hit somewhere around 30-50% of fairways. When I DO hit my driver well, I usually shoot lights out b/c my confidence goes through the roof.

I usually swing at 85%, its a good tempo for my driver. I usually hit the ball pretty consistant, about a 2 yard draw, or a 2 yard cut. My issue is my alignment, i will start shifting my aim to the right to much, then i will start pulling the ball..

For the most part I am pretty consistent. I don't hit a ton of fairways, but I don't miss by much either. Usually if I am off the fariway it isn't by much and is just in the rough on the same hole. I am not that wild off the tee so I will rarely lose a ball OB or in a hazard with a driver. It happens every once in a while, but not enough that I am concerned about it.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

Ever sinc I switched from the sumo 5000 stock shaft and put in a ust v2, I am hitting about 70% of the fairways, which is a big improvment for me. I am hitting about 90% power, and am getting about 315-325 yards. I am trying to force myself to slow down and remembering to chocke down alittle. I am also learning to hut a stinger so I fan put the ball in the fairway and by using about 220 yards of LOW carry, and letting the ball rolling 50-60 yards. This technique is really helping.

Fairly consistent - my G10 is the largest driver (by far) I've ever used, so it's pretty hard to miss the centre of the face. Shot shape is very straight.

On Sunday I topped a driver (on 18) after 5 really good ones throughout the round (only used driver for 6 holes - course neither long nor wide enough for driver on the other "driving holes").

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

My driving is streaky. I like to go after it so probably end up in that 90-100% area. When I drop to the 80% range, it feels like I'm stearing it too much. Looking to change the shaft to keep the dial set at "grip n rip". My good shots have about a 5 to 10 yard fade, but I do hit a few into the trees and lose a couple per round.

I am pretty consistant with my driver! ive always had a slight fade... but have with buying a r7 have countered that into a nice draw!
I usually like to hit at about 90-95% and have a good fairway percentage!!

It's one of my favorite clubs. Hit 11 fairways yesterday at Indian Peaks. Nine of those with driver and the ones I missed were in the second cut. Averaged 303 off the tee with a couple at 330 down wind. Shot my best at the peaks with 1 under! It's the new Ping I15 with the pured Maymiya shaft- damm I love it.

this is a tip my coach said once, if you hit a slice you are hitting it to hard! slow it down and you will get the same distance and you might even get a draw like i did! slow and steady, not rive at it!

    • A strong grip cups the wrist (lead) and then it wants to flatten through impact, something I used to be able to avoid to keep it from going left and protecting my forearm (the main premise of my set up). Longer the club, harder it is becoming. Either way, yes, I need to transition to gripping it open.
    • Why don't you grip it "open" so you can return your hand to the place where you're comfortable/not sore, but the ball won't go left? It's effectively weaker… without actually "being" weaker?

    • Idk but I would have to imagine that a putter that is aimed where you think it's aimed would be the most important aspect of a putter
