PING and Nike. Or maybe I like those because those are the main brands my pro fits for and I'd rather have him fit me than random customer service guy at Golf Galaxy.

How can people rate Nike? Every driver of theirs that I've seen/hit sounds like crap, has little to no forgiveness in trajectory, and goes about 10-20 metres short of just about any other driver (from any year). Do we just get dodgy Nike drivers here in Australia?

Oh, and I think you're missing the #1 brand in golf....

2) Mizuno

I'd have to say Ping, especially given their tradition. I'm pretty open-minded to different answers, but Nike? Are you kidding me?

Nike might be the best brand overall in sports simply because it's everywhere. Think Spalding or Wilson twenty or thirty years ago. Golf-specific brands, I think the best are Ping and Titleist, not necessarily in that order, because they are synonymous with Golf.

    • Day 159 1-19 Flow drill while attempting to add arch in wrist on downswing. Not where it needs to be but felt good working on swing flow.
    • Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.
    • That depends what you do within those two.  Are they your only options?   Check out Fit for Golf if you get a moment.  It's linked on the sidebar;  I did it for two years, stopped for a really bad reason, and I plan to get back to it soon.   Mike Carroll also has a great free podcast about a lot of topics in golf fitness.
    • Day 19, 1/19.  Finished work in time to spend 25 minutes hitting balls (hit 15) indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Usual focus.
    • Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
