did you see jerry kelly's shot?

He thought he messed up and dropped the club, ball ends up a foot or two from the hole!

What do we think the cut line is going to be at? I've got Rhys Davies in a pool and he's been looking good so far today, hoping he can get to +4 with another birdie and sneak into the top 60. Thinking scores in the afternoon will be a little higher, so my guess is +5.

Everyone within 10 shots of the lead make the cut at the U.S. Open.

So Tiger and Ernie both hit 3w off 18--Tiger had 275 in and Ernie had 242. Times have changed

The anouncers that I am listening to think Tiger may have hit a 5w instead of the 3w.

Argh....why can't non U.S residents access it?....that sucks

More importantly, why can't U.S. residents access the tsn hockey feeds! 4 days of open coverage missed is nothing compared to a whole season of missed tsn hockey.

Like all year he is missing tee shots too much, both left and right, even with 3 wood. It is better, but not good enough to win this week I'm afraid. At this pace, he might not make the weekend.

Talk about up and around the course for Quiros. Yesterday he shot 9 over par, 7 bogies and 1 double. Today he's got two bogies and 6 birdies, making a total of 5 over par for the tournament through hole 13.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Watching the open on USopen.com has a totally different look at the game. I am enjoying the coverage of the "premier 3 some". Way better than skipping all over. Saw so much Phil and Tiger yesterday, was super cool to see the shot, prep work, how the shot got there and a better understanding of course layout. I hope there is more of this.

Just saw Tiger et al play the par-3 7th. Whoever had the idea of putting 2 hours of RF on NBC has my gratitude. For a man with an antenna most of the time, it's rare for me to be able to see the weekday rounds.

Yeah, he's looking good.Johnson, Els and maybe Ishikawa are the dangermen for the weekend.

    • Day 297: putted for about 25 minutes, working on 30 foot putts. Then went and hit balls for about an hour, just focused on getting the ball to go where I want it. Not my best session, but figured it out better at the end.
    • I do use a 7 wood. Love it! Do have a specific question about 7 woods?
    • @DrizZzY does. 😄
    • does anybody still use a 7 wood? if not what do you use instead>
    • Day (2 May 24) - somehow I missed posting both Tues and Weds practice sessions - so the streak ends and a new one begins…. Focus today was on ball first contact using the Divot Board for reference.   Worked with 7i, 9i and GW hitting hard foam balls.  Started hap hazardly and then settled back into my pre-shot setup.  Much more consistent in the latter.
