The LPGA had a major this week. Cristie Kerr (an amicable American, not a Korean teenager) won the tournament...by 12 strokes. She became the women's world number one player in the process.

Just thought it deserved mentioning.

She was on the whole tournament. She didn't have a bad stretch even with variable weather. Great to see a veteran player do well like this. It was fun to watch.

It was complete domination. I think she had the rest of the field unglued with the sheer gap she put between herself and the rest. Her approach (and putt) on 18 was impressive given that she was basically in tears. My daughter and I watched it. I am thinking she has a new hero!

I watched the Tournament. It was great to see an American win for a change and to see an American as #1 (how long has it been?). There is a lot of talent on the LPGA and I'm surprised that more of us males don't watch their tournaments.

Sometimes, it takes winning a second Major for a player to truly elevate his or her game. Cristie now has her second, and what domination she showed! This is a great boost for the Americans on the LPGA Tour. Good luck to her in the future.

we are talking ladies right? does anyone really care? I do enjoy the Solhiem cup but that is cause many of the girls are hot...outside of that i prefer to see women playing tennis and not golf!!
