Apparently, Tiger Woods is using a new ball!

A new golf ball for Tiger Woods

Driver: Titleist TSR1 9*

3 Wood: Titleist TSR1 15*

7 Wood: Titleist TSR1 20* @ 19.25*

5 Hybrid: Titleist TSR1 23* @ 22*

Irons: Mizuno JPX900 5-P 24* - 45*

Wedges: Mizuno JPX900 50*, 55*, 60*

Putter: Ping Fetch 2021

makes sense that with the new grooves hed try a spinnier ball this year. I wonder if hell keep playing with this one the rest of the year after St. Andrews

He actually switched to a less spinny ball, according to this article.

I think he should try the Titleist NXT. If he can't hit those straight, then he really has problems.

he was playing the nike one tour. He probably switched to the ball all the other pros use that are sponsored by nike. I think its called the nike one tour d or something like that.

I believe he was still using a Nike One Platinum.

He's using a prototype Nike ball that will be released later this fall. He has used the Nike One Tour ball since 2007. Before that, it was the Nike One Platinum.

The One tour d is the only other model of One Tour that I can find, so that sounds like a reasonable guess.

I don't think that history is under dispute. Why is it so obvious that we should figure out that it's an unreleased prototype?

sounds like the Nike One Tour D, but yea, certainly it could be a prototype for the next premium nike ball...but it looks like an adjustment preparing for the British Open..

I'm pretty sure he used the Platinum much longer than 2009. According to Golf dot com articles he didn't switch until last year.

This doesn't make sense.

As I said, he has used the Nike One Tour since late 2007 and starting full time in 2008. The current Nike One Tour balls have of course, been out since 2008. So he was using a One Tour ball before it was released. Nike is developing and releasing a new ball this fall. Much like he did w/ the One Tour's, Tiger is using a prototype ball right now that will be released to you and I later this fall.
