See below in my sig.

The Uniflex shaft in the irons is OK, but there's probably a better one if I wanted to change irons. From data on OEM websites, I would be interested in trying DG R300 SL, Project X 5.0 flighted, and KBS Tour 90.

Favorite driver shaft is Harrison Saga 70S, very stable but tons of feel and a great trajectory. Awesome shaft for $60.

Haven't really found a perfect fairway wood shaft, but the Prolaunch Platinum 75S I'm using now is pretty nice..and an awesome deal at $30 shipped that can be found on Ebay.

cut at the butt or at the tip?

cutting at the butt wont change the stiffness of the club but trimming the tip will affect the stiffness....im assuming you knew this though for me.....see sig

I've been hating on my exotics cb3 tour drivers stock shaft and wasn't sure if it was either cheaply made or I should've gone up in flex (it has a 65 gram regular motore "exotics" shaft) found out I was averaging 93 with an occasional 95-97 in there. Which was a big lift from a year before (avg. 86) knew I wanted to drop the stock like a bad habit and was looking at grafalloy on goldsmith and found the red. The swingspeed for regular is 90-100 which is nice because I'll always have that low trajectory and have room for speed improvement. I'm also "not in season" just yet. Looking forward to reshafting here sometime this week. I'll be posting against soon on the results! Super pumped though!

I tend to prefer stiff shafts.  I find that with a stiff I have a tighter dispersion pattern and Im less likely to turn the club over and hit a big ole hook than I am with regular shafts.

playing the Nippon 8950gh shaft in regular flex. Feels good and smooth but Nippon's claims its a mid-high tracjectory which I had no idea considering its mid kick. I think I might be skying them a bit too high

is there any companies that make a shaft that are regular flex mid kick with a low to mid trajectory? My only thought is rifle/project x because the regular isn't actually made for a slower swing speed in mind. I've been referred to KBS royal precision true temp.  and Nippon.

Ideas? Opinions?

My Henry-Griffitts driver and fairway woods have Stripe-It shafts.  I didn't ask for them.  That's what the fitter gave me.

My Miura irons have NV Pro 105s from Aldila, which I had to fight for because they weren't offered.  I just hit them well in my old Kenneth Smith irons.

I hit regular flex shafts in both my irons and woods. Senior flex shafts have that nice "hickory" feel but spray the ball around a bit too much.

    • Day 38 (18 Dec 25) - got out in the backyard with grandson this afternoon.  We got into a little game of pitching the ball from about 25yds to a target point just off the asphalt lane behind the backyard.  Goal - just clear it with a quick hop and stop.  Focused on using the wedge swing motion I was talking with the course pro yesterday….smooth and thru just bruising the grass.  In addition to a concentrated focus on technique, it also called for a quiet mind locked in on target point.  Rehearsed this with both the 50° and 55° wedges.
    • I listened to the Shaun Webb one about the swing coach app. Sounds like a great thing and will (hopefully) be very useful for me. I do think the hosts are underestimating where AI could be in a few years. Right now it's just regurgitating stuff that it has been told or it has scrubbed from somewhere else and a human guiding things will be quite a lot more helpful than just the AI, but it's going to keep developing and it will reach the stage where it's figuring this stuff out on its own. Time will come when it will have you do a TPI style screen and take various height/arm length/leg length etc. measurements, have you tell it some history and your time constraints and goals and what not and it will watch a video of your swing face on and DTL and it will know exactly what you need to work on.
    • I found it entertaining, but the announcing was lousy.  How did the measuring on the final shot start with Rory being closer and being told he won, and then with no explanation it turns out Scottie won?  Weird.
    • Day 128 12-18 Worked on rotation and getting to lead side. Still working on the flow feeling while doing that. Recorded swings.
    • IMO-the only thing entertaining was the relay race. Everything else was excruciatingly boring...or just  stupid, like the 14-club thing. Watching guys blade wedges into the water over and over is not at all interesting.
