I stopped using a glove last year. Haven't noticed any difference in my swing or results, I feel a little better grip on the club. All in all I've found it to be a positive change. On hot days I rub the hands with water a few times during the round to remove grip residue and salty sweat.

Ditto for me.  I stopped using a glove even it hot weather.  I feel more connected to the club.  In hot weather, my hands would be soaked with sweat inside the glove.

A few months ago I asked something about keeping gloves alive longer and got some lowcappers telling me even some pro's didn't use gloves .... so I thought why not a gave it a try !

I never used gloves for anything within 100 yds. ......... I don't know if t is the about 10.000 balls I hit last few months, but my driving has improved a lot since I am playing gloveless.

Summer hasn't arived here, but there have been some nice spring days (about 17-18 dgr. Celsius) and gloveless hasn't been a problem yet, but I am picking up a lot of callus at my left hand and people know not to play for $$$'s with a guy that doesn't need a glove to play a lowcap ..... maybe best to keep my hands in the pockets when making bets.......

well, I have to use a glove since I have sweaty palms. it is not nearly as bad as some people I have met, but, without a glove, I can lose the club. haha.

for the short shots, I don't have to use a glove. like the 50 yards and in shots.

I haven't worn a glove for many years now.  It's never really made any difference in my game, just in my golf expenses.

LOL - no kidding. My choice to go gloveless was purely financial. I could keep buying gloves or buy some tape and be able to afford a few extra rounds every year.

When I first started playing golf, I didn't own a glove and started getting sores and calluses playing (I have soft, girly I.T. hands!) so I bought a glove.

I wore my glove for the entire round every round, including putting.

Then it was suggested to me that my putting 'feeling' would be better without a glove so I started removing my glove for putting.

I then decided to try increasing my feeling on wedge shots too so was removing my glove for all of my short game.

I then started noticing that with tee shots, when I put my glove on my mind thinks it needs to hit harder/faster/more so I've played my last couple of round "au naturelle" to try and rein it in a little and am liking it.

I've gone back and forth also over the years. I usually wear one but last yearI started playing without one. On really hot days when I sweat badly I will absolutely put one on but for normal temp days in the 70's which is our usual temps in the summer I won't wear one.

I never wear gloves in golf and I just cannot stand it, on the other hand you will never make me hit a baseball without gloves (don't know if it's explainable or it is just in my head).

Played an executive course last night and decided to try it without a glove.  I didn't really notice any difference.  I always removed my glove for putting anyway.  I think I'll keep playing without the glove for a while and give it a fair shake.  Will also be interesting to see how that works once the high humidity and heat of summer arrives.

Maybe it's a Mizuno thing?!? That's when I stopped wearing one - when I switched to Mizuno and full cord grips. No, it was probably the grips and being a cheapskate.

I switched at the same time that I changed all my grips to Pure.

That's an interesting point, I switched recently from standard to mid-size grips and I find I need far less grip pressure to keep the club stable.  I suspect if I still had standard size grips I would need the glove.

I stopped wearing a glove @ 1992 when the Golf Pride Tour Wraps come out.  A tour pro turned me on to them as all you needed to do was wipe them with an end of a towel that was damp and then dry them with the other end.  I haven't looked back and have saved a lot of cash.

If I replaced my grips, gloves, balls, cleats, drivers, and wedges as often as the manufacturers recommend I'd be living in a pipe somewhere.
