So I had the opportunity to play a lot of golf today. I woke up and hit the range at 6:00 (the basic 60 balls I usually start every round with) then I went to the chipping range for about 30 minutes with my 52/60. Then to my putting.

Tee'd off with my typical group around 8:00 - 4:00 hours later finished up, ate some lunch and worked on the putting green to fix a little error I had in the round.

Another group of buddies came up around 12:30 asking me if I wanted to join their 3 some, I figured sure why not? It's later in the afternoon and the course isn't crowded, it'll be quick. Finished up around 4:15 and started walking up to my car to throw the clubs in and my dad called. Just back from vaca and wanted to swing the sticks. I told him I just finished 36, I don't know. He said, just 9 holes? We'll grab a cart, it'll be quick.

I couldn't say no to pops.

So we grabbed a cart and started at 4:40pm. (he lives close to the course, didn't even warm up) after a FAST 9 (1:10) I figured we could do the back 9 ( I was on a roll on the front with a 35 ) and finished it up, went home, had dinner then applied the icy hot and hit the spa for awhile.

All in all good day. 77 - 79 - 75.

Hope I'm not too sore in the morning when I tee off at 7:30

Walked 64 in a day last year for no other reason to see how many we could walk in one day. We couldn't start until 7:24, which kept us from playing 72. Like you, I played better each round.

I was on a golf trip with some friends and one of the days a few of us did 45. Some of the guys just wanted to play one round then goof off, but I figured that if I am staying away from home to play golf, I was going to play as much as I could.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

Me and a friend of mine walked 45 holes in the snow and cold of december a few years ago. Might have been the manliest thing ive ever done. I believe i woke up with steel hair on my balls the next morning. As far as total holes ive played 54 in one day in Florida once. But all were riding..because florida hates walkers.

36 holes walking back to back rounds - no breaks in the clubhouse in between, straight from 18 back to 1.

That seems to be my limit for consecutive walked rounds. Beyond that second 18 and I really start to lose focus (walking 14+ miles will do that to you!).

That said, I have done 36 consecutive holes on 3 consecutive days when I had the time. I didn't play golf for a week afterwards.

I've done 3x18 holes in one day twice but there is this bizarre guy in my country who has his own idea of a golf marathon. This summer he played 14 rounds (= 262 holes) in 50 hours, no sleep in between.

Now, that's what I call a golfaholic!

I played 68 holes in one day about 20 years ago with my then 62 year old father, course came back by the clubhouse after 5 holes 9 13 and 18. It wasn't very long, and had only a couple of holes with modest hills. It was in the upper 90s and we walked it all. We did take a break off course for lunch and came back. I was in my second year of playing, maybe 10 for him. Fortunately I inherited his heat tolerance and stamina, unfortunately I also inherited his lack of frustration tolerance and tendancy to get negative on the course.

Jesus christ 60 balls on the range before a round? I just can't do that, I wear myself out and play like crap during the round. I like to hit between 20-30 just to swing a club. But after 60 without much time in between shots my arms would feel like jello.

Did you use a golf cart for all the rounds? That's still an epic amount of golf.

I've played 27 walking, I would love to play 54 holes of golf but I'm short on funds.

There's a Par 3 near my home and they have a all day rate of like $10 or $12. My brother, myself and a friend or two would go and play all day on Saturday. Probably would get in 3 or 4 rounds. Good Times!!

I played 45 one cloudy Saturday in about 1988. I worked at the course and got free golf. I must have played through about 20 groups that day. Such a huge nerd back then.

72 holes, from dawn till dusk. Walked and carried all 4 rounds. Would do again, but probably not carrying my clubs. A push cart would be better. I'd love to have a course to myself one time with a cart and try some kind of marathon, play like 15 rounds.

Fore!

45, walking and carrying... have played some 36 hole tournaments back in the day, those were more tiring becuase of the mental stress... but these days, I'm pretty sure I couldn't do a scond 18 without a cart

    • Day 120 - Played 18; much better than yesterday. Miss right now is off the heel of the club, so I need to sort that out.
    • Today we played Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH. Course was in great shape but my game didn't show up. I will say I pitched and chipped fairly well but almost everything else was very hit or miss. Cost myself a lot hitting an in play drive with pulling my approach shots maybe 85% of the time. Finally figured out I had been swaying most of the round. Only took me until 13 to figure it out. Used what felt like a much more centered turn and the ballstriking improved. 18 tomorrow using a 2 man scramble format. Just looking to contribute. Been a blast though.
    • Day 22: Hit balls with 7-iron using mevo+ to track dispersion. Was out for a long time after work; 86 balls but the first 50+ were 50% swings focusing on top of backswing feel and then just hitting the ball as a psychic reward. Finished with 20 balls close to full speed. Pretty happy with dispersion and also no horrendous misses. I’m chunking my priority piece out into two separate feels, first and more important is the position/balance at top of backswing which is what I was working on. Once I have that engrained I’ll move to transition part.
    • FWIW I never really had issues with the previous generation of Snells. But… I'm not sure I played them a ton, either.
    • I know Dean Snell designed the original Pro V along with a couple of other brands tour balls.  How exactly does the Snell ball have problems.  Did he change something in the design or is a manufacturing error since he cannot afford the unlimited R&D budgets of the big manufacturers to iron out flaws
