High and soft/ Low and spin

Do you hit low wedge shots with a lot of spin that check when they hit the green or high shots that land softly.

I prefer to hit it low because it won´t get caught in the wind and I know the ball will check.

How do you play your wedge shots?

Anything over 50 goes high with a ton of spin, otherwise it is low and enough spin to stop, but it rolls out a bit.

my stock shot is lowish with spin.
obviously, if hitting over a trap or to a green that slopes front to back, I'll hit something high.

I've been working on hitting a shot that goes high with lots of spin--having success by shifting my hips far forward at address, opening club face a bit, keep weight forward---it's like a hybrid of Utley's pitch shot and sand shot methods.

I used to hit the high soft landing wedge shots all the time, but I have been trying to put the 60 degree away more often for a lower trajectory spinner with my 49 degree.

same for me what this guy said for the most part... but sometimes you have windfactor/wet/dry.. but for the most part what he said.

I usually like a high and soft shot but at this point, I have more command of a lower shot that rolls a bit. Sometimes though it's fun pulling the 60* from 70-85 out and getting that sucker way up.

I can control low spinny shots way more than high / soft shots...especially during windy days!

I can hit both. From 50 to 65 yards I hit really low wedge shots with the 64. They look like mini PWs. But once I get out to 90+ yards I hit stock wedge shots and they are medium hieght with plenty of spin. I hit pulls often when I try to hit low wedge shots from anything more than 80 yards. I just pick the club I hit that distance and hit a stock wedge shot. If the situation needs a low one, I'll try to hit it but I'm not going to pull the PW from 90 yards and get cute. I'll just hit a stock 58. For me the results are better.

Whatever it takes to get the ball to the hole. Sometimes high and soft, sometimes low and spinny.

Both. if it calls for a low spinny punch, I'll hit it so.

Usually, if wind isn't a problem, I'll hit a high ball and let it check on green.

I prefer the low spinning cut when there is little room to work with, but if there is more room to work with I go for the low "without" spin shot and roll it towards the hole.
