How much do you pay for golf a month at your club or guest fees? I quiet my golf course and it was costing me 350$ a month, with no money down.

$750 a year, or $63 a month. Plus $150 a year for driving range unlimited. :) I know i'm getting a good deal, and I love the people out there. Not the nicest course in the world, or the toughest, but its not trashy and the greens are the best around!

A long flat pasture (7K from the tips) that has new owners who are trying to get it back into shape after many years of neglect costs me $500 year & it includes range balls and one league - cart fee is $6 to $8.

At my home course, I pay about $100/month. I joined their mini-membership which basically is a $10 discount and a free round after ten paid rounds, but I plan on joining fully in a few years. I play a lot of courses around here so it isn't prudent right now to be a full member somewhere. Overall I spend probably $200-$250/month on golf, that's including the driving range (I usually buy a $200 credit that lasts me 2 months).

I play at a course with 27 holes and pay $44 on a month to month plan for unlimited green fees on the 9 course with unlimited driving range. Also, get a discounted rate for the 18, and the course is a top course in Ohio.
Dont play the 18 alot just cause the 9 is nice and at the rate I play it comes put to a couple bucks per round, most of the time even less without counting driving range.

BTW this is in the wrong section...

I don't belong to any club, but prices around here are normally 20-50, plus around 10 for a cart fee, if you fancy that.

Looks like I win so far, only because I'm on the high school golf team. I (my parents.lol) only pay 75 dollars a year for a membership(less than 10 dollars a month). If you are on the golf team you get a big discount. For other people it's like 350-400 a year. It's a bad course though with no driving range. Still it's great though for the price

Wow i wish i had some of these fees in my area.

The club in my town is $1400 a year if you live in this town(i do) or $2800 for out of town. It is unlimited play with $10 for a cart, plus i can bring a member for $30. It is open from April-May until November-December. I am not a member this year but will probably join next season since this was my first.

The courses i usually play are minimum $45/$10 for a cart and maximum $70/$15 for a cart.

This first time i swung a golf club was on 5/8/10....

I get a membership at a public course(so no perks, really) for Christmas and its 500 dollars for 365 days. Unlimited green fees, cart for 18 is $12. To add in unlimited range balls its another 250 yearly.

Golf is cheap around here. I don't belong to anything but I pay $12 for a twilight round, $20 full rate or $25 weekdend rate. A 10 play card is $150 or $175 if you want to play weekend days. I could save a tiny bit by paying the annual fee ($770) but it's not worth it to have to be tied down to one course (we have a whopping 2 in the area, lol).

Wow, golf is cheap in the states.....I pay minimum $60 with cart all the way to $120

Not cheap here in NYC. Because our piece of garbage mayor keeps upping the prices each year(taxes I think), our public courses are now $65 per person, with cart. The sad part is, they are so crowded, a round is usually 5 hours, the one time my brother and I played one recent Sunday morning, 6 hours. AND because we were a walk on, getting there at 8:30 am, the last time on a Tuesday we had to wait 90 minutes just to tee off. Simply disgusting! And another round over 5 hours. Yet if we go to LI, as a non resident in Nassau County, it's pretty much the same($60 - $70), rarely waiting more than 30 minutes to tee off, and rarely the courses rarely get backed up. Most are just over 4 hours a round, at most under 5 hours.

When it comes to private courses here in Toronto, it isn't cheap at ALL. Typcial costs at a private club would be something like this...

Initation Fee - $10K - $60K depening on the course and payable over maximum 10 years.
Yearly Dues - $2K - $6K payable in 6 months (January to July)
Food and Beverage Minimums - $450-$600 per year

When it comes to public courses, you are looking to pay $5K-$7K a year for un-limited play at a really nice course, or a 12, 20, 50, 100 round Pack that may cost say, $60-$90. So for example if you bought the 50 round pack at a $75per round discount, it would be $75 x 50 = $3750.

Entry level public courses will still cost you a minimum, $2K for unlimited play!!

I do not belong to any club but I do have a resident card. I pay $26 for 18 on weekdays and 28$ on the weekend (no cart). In the summer I play about 2 rounds a week which adds up to about 216$ a month. Once summer is over I can only get 1 round a week in usually.

$14-$25 to walk 18 at most of the courses around here. The place I play the most is $14 and we bet the other $6 on the round.

the big private club here in town is sort of like that. You pay 3000 dollars in either a 2 year or 3 year plan and then its 160 per month plus a 25 dollar minimum food and drink fee(whether you actually spend 25 or not). The place is a nice place..pool, golf, tennis, lots of family functions and parties and what not but on the downside its kind of uppity when you get involved in anything outside of golf and the course while nicely maintained is not worth that kind of investment for me as a single male. Works out great for families, I suppose.

I pay $160 per month unlimited golf. No initiation fee when I joined June of 2009. They gave me a range key for 6 months free range ball that they haven't asked to be returned :)
They also let my wife play free once a week or so, and have let me take a cart w/o charge if I ask. ( had a bad hamstring for a few months now).
Pretty good deal, but the reciprocities are really great. I have access to one other club in town and some great courses within 1-2hrs drive, and in Victoria,BC. just a ferry ride away.

    • There are so many videos comparing and contrasting everything that I am both overwhelmed and more than a bit skeptical. Your comments above are much more valuable than hours of you-tube videos. Generally speaking, I’d much prefer to read something that someone took the time and trouble to write (such as your comments) than a bunch of videos, or worse, meaningless reviews that seem like they are all cut and paste selections of the same script. I’m more of a RTFM type than a watcher of “instructional” videos. By way of explanation, I don’t watch TV either.  So thanks - I’ll take that under advisement. I have an H3 that I bought for $10 that I’ve been carrying around but not sure why. Seems like a cool club, but I just don’t really know what to do with it.
    • I was using the window as a mirror. Just trying to be a more aware of the feels for a better backswing. Trying to not be as closed from A1 to A2. Then not letting the club head flip inside. What I was feeling was a pressure my right wrist, and like the palm of my right hand was pushing upward against the grip of the club. My right hand was the underside of the swing path.  Going to play around with this a bit more. It looked pretty decent with mirror/window work. Just wanted to jot it down.
