Seemore DB-4, replaced a Mizuno Bettinardi C-03 that is overdue to go on ebay. The Seemore is the nicest-looking anser-style putter I've ever seen, and it feels superb.

Backup is my grandfather's Ping a-blade, which still puts a nice roll on the ball--though it does so in my office most of the time.

Ping. Used it about 6 months now. I bought it Nov 06, and it went into the closet Aug 07 after I thought I damaged it. For the life of me, I can't find the damage to the face that I thought happened (no, it wasn't thrown; that summer, I thought I had cracked it).

After putting it in the closet, I used a Fisher putter. I still prefer the feel in that putter, but I was putting terribly for a while, even with some practice (and review of fundamentals). I checked the loft and lie of it and the Ping, and couldn't adjust it on the Fisher. I put the Ping into the Utley specs, regripped it, and haven't had what I consider a truly abysmal putting round since.

Scotty Cameron Circa 62 No.1, w/ PING blackout grip. I wanted one as soon as I saw it in person, and loved the firm yet responsive feel of the carbon steel. Bought it off ebay in as new condition last July. It's not a forgiving putter, and I occasionally put a Srixon P-514 into play, and on even fewer occasions a PING Craz-E H. But nothing has kicked out of the bag for more than a round or two yet. Some new life was breathed into it when I put the PING blackout grip on, I never cared for the stock Baby T grip.

If I was buying a putter right now I think I'd go with the Bronze Cleveland Classic-sweet putter at a great price.

I keep my reliable Odyssey Dual Force Blade in my bag. It's just very very familiar to me and gets the job done.
I do own a Nike OZ mallet and right now we have a love/hate relationship.

I have used a TaylorMade Rossa Daytona RSI since about October 2009. I think the RSI is a similar insert to the AGSI, but without the grooves. Previously I had used a TaylorMade Pro-Formance face-balanced smooth steel face putter for about 10+ years. Both of them have the shaft at the heel. I experimented with a number of center shafted & mallet putters, but had more success with the heel shafting. I think the soft insert does not require quite as delicate a touch as the steel face and I like that. Interesting poll, though.

Been using the Kia Ma Monte Carlo for a couple weeks. Good feel. Black head looks really cool, and isn't confidence the most important piece in putting?

Ping Zing 2 i have had it at least 10 years. Tried others and found that this was the best for me.

Scotty is in timeout right now......in a very dark cabinet in the garage, for misbehaving.

Right now I'm putting with an old Zebra mallet that is VERY appreciative of being allowed out on the course. Scotty may be in the dark for awhile!

Back to the Newport 2 right now. Used a belly for a while and it really helped me learn to make a better stroke with the shorter stick.

    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
