As much as they fluff mcilroy's swing nobody has mentioned that all his errant shots seem to come when he gets the left arm away from his body on the backswing. When that happens his hips out race his arms and he either flips it through with his hands (pull hook) or blocks it. Great swing but that distance comes at thr price of a smaller margin for error as far as timing goes. As he matures he'll probably dial that lag down a bit, unless he's another garcia that wont give up some distance for consistency of course. Just sayin'

Oh for crying out loud. What a load of absolute and complete BS!

All of these armchair experts who see themselves as wise analysts who can't wait for the opportunity to say something critical.

I can just see it now - if he doesn't hang on tomorrow, all of these experts will be shaking their heads and saying "You know, he's a good player, but he can't handle pressure." as if it's an observation that only they could have made.

McIlroy's swing is as close to perfect as you'll ever see.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

I have not heard anything but cheers for Rory all week.  I was never a big fan but he has won me over after watching these last two majors.
