First pro event he has ever played and he makes the cut.  Shot 66 today and average over 360 off the tee.  Of course Golf channel has zero coverage of him which is just stupid in my opinion.

I hope he does well. The problem is that most of the courses they play on the NWT, at least the ones I have watched, are fairly straight. Id be interested to see how he would do on a course where its not all about bombing drives.

I guess I should have added "@ OP" or quoted him.

There are lot people out there in TV land convinced that Bubba Watson and Dustin Johnson are the longest hitters alive. They're wrong and afraid to admit it - imvho.

I watched a youtube video of him with Gray Mccord.... He hit a 300 yard drive with a putter and with a 29" long driver... He crushes the ball

It would be awesome to see him pull putter out on the tee

That is surprising to me.  I really thought those guys would have trouble breaking 80 because it is such a different mindset and skill to be able to hit 1 out of 5 straight and a mile.  But that is pretty neat.

Sadlowski is the real deal my friend... Probably the longest hitter the game has ever seen.

Even though Sadlowski says he hasn't played a lot of golf in recent years, most of these guys can still play the game.  I doubt many of them could become superstars on the PGA tour but if one could, it'd be Jamie.  He's got the body, the mindset, and the athletic ability to be great.  As he says in the video posted here, the long drivers ball-striking has to be dead on in order to win.  If you gave Jamie a year on the Nationwide tour, I wouldn't be surprised at all to hear of him winning and moving on to the PGA tour.

My philosophy on golf "We're not doing rocket science, here."

Fun video, the guys impressive.  I'm not shocked he's a good regular golfer given his ball striking skills with irons, he hits his putter longer than I hit my driver.

Amazing to watch. I hope he transitions well to the tour. He'll be quite fun to follow. And I never heard a "boom" or "pow" once... Oh what he could do with a Hammer 2....

Pretty much what I expected from a long driver: Ranked first in driving distance and bogeys. Top ten in eagles and double bogeys. Funny that his best round of the tournament had the worst driving accuracy and his best putting.  He's got a ways to go before being a contender.

It was also interesting to see that the guy that finished 2nd in distance, i.e. the winner, was only a few yards behind him.

    • _sigh_ so close to red text.  Went away for three days, but didn't do a practice morning-of-departure (Friday) nor evening-of-return (Sunday), so I had three misses, back to day one. Day 1, May 4 2026.  At home today, spent nearly an hour in my practice room, hitting about three dozen practice balls, primarily with my 6-iron.
    • Day 254 5-4 Arms off chest in backswing and downswing. Short swing, pause and then hit.  Hit foam balls. Keeping arching of wrist a focus as well.
    • I would think of it in terms of time. The time it takes to get the arm angle into a good position to deliver the club with proper shaft lean. Another component is rotation, but that is also a matter of timing. It relates to how the body stalls to give the golfer time to hit the ball. If you have to get 80+ degrees out of that right elbow in one third of a second versus 50 degrees in the same time then you have to steal time from somewhere. It is usually body rotation. That does not help with shaft lean.  I agree in that amateurs tend to make the swing more complicated than pro golfers.
    • I haven't been able to practice like I wanted and won't for the next week.  1. The weather sucks in Ohio this year. I have been mostly inside hitting foam balls. Just kind of my basic stuff.  2. I woke up last Saturday with a left side rib muscle on fire. If I turned or leaned a certain way it would spasm that almost buckled my knees. I have been taking a break to let that settle. I don't want to get a long term injury. I think I pinched a nerve or just aggravated a muscles.   3. I am going on a mini-vacation to Florida (screw you Ohio weather) with a friend, and rolling that into a work conference I have next week. I will be with out my clubs for a week.  I will be back next in two Fridays to hit the ground running with some warmer temps and better weather in Ohio, hopefully. I would really like to get more out on the course and the range.
    • Day 580 - 2026-05-04 Played eight holes. Sometimes golf kicks you in the nuts. 😉
