Just tweeted pics of a prototype driver he's testing from Cleveland. Deep face, 9*, 46.5", Aldila green RIP. The 290 probably stands for the weight, Cleveland is really pushing the lighter heads. I would hit that! About 245 yards and just into the right rough, if history is any guide.

Stretch.

It looks pretty cool... the only thing I don't like is the "ultralight-ness" of it... I never hit those type of clubs well.

I agree, I'd bet there is no way the head he's testing is actually 290 grams. Until they start putting in the $ to find different materials, I think we'll be seeing more clubs like this

Everyone is wanting to go "retro" these days...

46.5" is a LONG driver and Graeme is short.  How does he hit that thing!

This might be the driver I need to complete my Cleveland fanboy setup ('09 Launcher 3w, TA7-2-iron, TA1 or TA3 irons, 588 wedges, Classic 2 putter, Srixon balls, that they've already put my average driver distance on the toe which is a nice touch), but Graeme needs to find the white balance on his digital camera. No way that thing is that yellow.

Don't know if it's just me but it sounded a bit strange?

Can't say I'm a fan. Then again, despite the large "290" badging, it just screams heavy to me, since my brain sees it and immediately thinks that it's made of persimmon.
