Funny.

No doubt some tour players tour golf websites, but I'd think, not usually under their name. They don't want a lot of pm's and questions.

I wish one of these morons would explain to me how they derive pleasure from doing these types of things. One guy on a website would post pics of girls and act like he was the girl. What the hell is wrong with you. Honestly fake webb, you are a complete idiot and waste of air. I have to say you are a useless bag of crap. I can only guess you have some type of "superior intelligence complex" that gives you a false sense of intellect by fooling people.

Wow, Shorty, just a little while ago you started a thread about the real Webb saying he can't possibly have a mind of his own, and told us all how incredibly stupid and naive he had to be.

But, here you're quick to engage him (when you thought it was him)...

I am just going to put this incident behind me because I want to preserve my professional integrity. I am the real Webb Simpson, and I hope you guys can understand that. Be sure to watch the Masters this week, and cheer me on as I am about to go off the first tee for a practice round with Scott Stallings at 12:35. Can't wait to play Augusta, dream come true.

God Bless

Thanks for taking the time.  I figured it wasn't true just based on the number of replies, and how he skipped over the Twitter suggestion, which is a tell-tale sign.  But I was too lazy to do any research, and didn't want to hear any backlash from the site.

You remind me of some of the girls I used to chat with in chat rooms circa 2002 with fake pictures.  The deflection and selective acknowledgement is spot-on.  Kudos.

I figured it was a hoax when he mentioned his family, used that image as his profile photo (he'd be more humble), stated that Phil Mickelson doesn't play practice rounds for money, and oh yeah . . . when he made his very first post using the name WSimpson on thesandtrap.com.

Definitely a fake.

Or is he?!?!?

April 1 starts half a day earlier here.

I thought it was clear that I was playing along with an April Fools joke.

Maybe not.

That's a bit cryptic for me.

By "others" do you mean ones who are playing off 20 but are going to be on tour in 2 years time? That type?

Nope, I am fully behind you there. I am referring to when others are clearly joking or "playing along", yet you don't believe them.

That's OK - this guy needed his string pulled, though.

In the grand scheme of things it is not a big deal just pathetic and he hasn't proven he is human yet....

    • Day 36: back to some mirror work tonight. Need a bit more forearm roll in my feels to help with the shallowing.
    • _sigh_ so close to red text.  Went away for three days, but didn't do a practice morning-of-departure (Friday) nor evening-of-return (Sunday), so I had three misses, back to day one. Day 1, May 4 2026.  At home today, spent nearly an hour in my practice room, hitting about three dozen practice balls, primarily with my 6-iron.
    • Day 254 5-4 Arms off chest in backswing and downswing. Short swing, pause and then hit.  Hit foam balls. Keeping arching of wrist a focus as well.
    • I would think of it in terms of time. The time it takes to get the arm angle into a good position to deliver the club with proper shaft lean. Another component is rotation, but that is also a matter of timing. It relates to how the body stalls to give the golfer time to hit the ball. If you have to get 80+ degrees out of that right elbow in one third of a second versus 50 degrees in the same time then you have to steal time from somewhere. It is usually body rotation. That does not help with shaft lean.  I agree in that amateurs tend to make the swing more complicated than pro golfers.
    • I haven't been able to practice like I wanted and won't for the next week.  1. The weather sucks in Ohio this year. I have been mostly inside hitting foam balls. Just kind of my basic stuff.  2. I woke up last Saturday with a left side rib muscle on fire. If I turned or leaned a certain way it would spasm that almost buckled my knees. I have been taking a break to let that settle. I don't want to get a long term injury. I think I pinched a nerve or just aggravated a muscles.   3. I am going on a mini-vacation to Florida (screw you Ohio weather) with a friend, and rolling that into a work conference I have next week. I will be with out my clubs for a week.  I will be back next in two Fridays to hit the ground running with some warmer temps and better weather in Ohio, hopefully. I would really like to get more out on the course and the range.
