It only took me 20yrs, but I finally did it!

As of July 1, 2012: my course handicap is 0.   That's scratch.......I can dig it .

The funny thing is I don't think it will last, but at least I got there if only for a brief moment!!  Whatever happens going forward, I can always say I did it!!!

this if for all you guys/gals who have been playing for years who think you've hit the wall..................don't believe it!!  I've hit many walls along the way.  I was stuck many times over the years and slowly broke through the barriers/milestones.

There is hope.....walls can be broken down.

My goal is to get into single digits in the next 2 seasons, and I can do that fairly easily as long as I get rid of my 5-10 blow-up rounds in the 90's per season.

Current goal is to shoot consistently lower than 85.

I can relate to the wall comment. I have to break free. What you have done is a huge accomplishment. I know many club pros that would love to be a legit scratch. What do you feel was the biggest obstacle to overcome?

Congrats! Your course handicap is by slim margins (0.49911504424779). If the slope was 142 you'd be a 1 there.

Congratulations! Next step: get it to 0.3 so you don't have to worry about those pesky 142-slope courses. :-D

A few other points...

(1.) It's interesting to see that you shot an 85 is in the last 20 rounds...  I guess I shouldn't feel like jumping off a cliff the next time I post an 80+?

(2.) You're home course looks legit; 72.5/137 and 75.1/141 is brutal.
