I'm gonna play devil's advocate here.

Yes, Brandel's act is getting old and stupid. But I cant argue with results. TW hasnt won a major in over 5 years now. Is what Sean Foley is teaching him really the reason he is playing at this level? Or could TW achieve this level with any coach? I mean he is the best player in the world, probably the best ever.

On the other hand, I do think Foley has helped correct a lot of his errant shots an sorta hone his big misses to little misses. I really dont think it comes down to coaching at this point. Foley has gotten TW (along with TW himself) to the elite competition level in almost every tourney again. After that is comes down to the little crazy person picking at TW's brain during those majors. Its all in his head at this point and until he chills the hell out and stops overthinking, he will not be winning a major again.

Havent' studied Tiger's swing lately, but at normal speed ....need to look.

Only saw 2013 swings...

And then looked at Grant Waite's swing...

Tiger needs to go elsewhere...

Dufner is different and has had a lot of success. His demeanor is aloof and that maybe  what it takes to not over torque. If I could look like that and get a woman like that, sign me up.

Don't know what Foley has done that is harmful by going to fade, but WOODS seems to hurt himself swinging a golf club.  Did he ever hurt himself with Butch H.? granted he was younger but he won alot with that wirey draw.

He had surgeries when he was with Butch too.

      Rule 1.2b refers you to a section in the Committee Procedures (Section 5I) that helps explain what a Code of Conduct may (and may not) do.  Defining acceptable behavior (including smoking) and applying Stroke of DQ penalties are certainly within the Committee's authority. That Code of Conduct certainly should be available, either in written form or in a webpage accessible to all.  It may not show up on the "standard local rules" for an organization, the "hard card", as it sounds like its a policy of this particular golf course. Assuming that's the case it should show up on the Notice to Players for this particular event.  If you can't find it, ask someone, send an email, try to find out.   In summary, yes the Committee can DQ (or withdraw) a Player for smoking, even before or between rounds.  But its up to you to go from there, communication is the key here.

      Hmm... I not sure I completely understand. If the course has a no smoking policy, then he shouldn't smoke at the course.  I'm assuming since you are aware of the policy, it must be written down somewhere.  As far as getting disqualified from the tournament, I would think that would be up to the committee. But it feels like it is within their power to disqualify, so why take the chance?
