I can't wait, I'll be working on my "steady head" till then.

Taking the above advice may lead to destruction of your golf game. Laughing at it may reduce stress.

I would love to get down there to San Diego and meet up with you guys for the clinic, but I'm kinda far from you, about 5 hours north.

PM Mike - the school itself is in mid-September, and you might be able to swing that one. Also, Don Parsons is going to have a free clinic a day or two later. That's a good bit closer to you, I believe.

Ah man, finally one of the good things found on TST (5SK, Aimpoint, etc.) comes to San Diego and you pick the week I'm going to be in Hawaii on vacation.   Normally I'd tell my wife we have to change our vacation, but since it's our 25th anniversary I don't think I'll pull that off.    Please reschedule the clinic to a time I can attend!    :-)

Don is the pro who worked with my brother in Orlando and my brother was very impressed with his ability to get down to business. For the record, my brother was a former assistant pro at Emerald Hills in Hollywood, FL so he doesn't just give out compliments unless they are earned. If I were in the area, I would go see him for sure.

Will do.  Yes, Goleta/Santa Barbara is about 2 hours less, maybe even more, since I would avoid LA traffic. Thanks

I'm putting all of my eggs in the mid-Sept school basket, so I am going to skip the free clinic. See you in September!

Check out what fellow 5 Simple Keys golf instructor Bob Townsend and myself are up to.  Great article in the San Diego Union Tribune!  Thanks to Tod Leonard for spending time with us, he personally loves the information.  Tod recently shot his lowest score utilizing the system.

Just a reminder that the Free 5 Simple Keys® Clinic with Bob Townsend and myself is today at Riverwalk at 5pm.  Those that attend will get some great information on this new system, receive a student guide handout and a free gift.

If you know of a pro that will host us, we'd love to give a free talk followed by a mini-school the next day, AimPoint, and some lessons.

You could attend it all free if you're really helpful in helping us put it together. :)

    • I am currently playing a Cobra Ltdx LS 9 degree driver and Cobra Ltdx LS FW3. Both with Tensei White stock stiff shafts and original weights of 12g (heel) and 3g (toe). My miss is usually a pull fade or sometimes a slice, swing is out to in. Driver swing speed about 112 mph. Grips are stock regular. Intended change: Driver: Switching to Tensei White x-flex one inch shorter which I suppose would be 44,5? Changing heel weight to 18g. Changing grip to Golf Pride Z-grip cord midsize. Change hosel setting to standard draw. FW3: Changing heel weight to 16g (apparently not available in FW weights, but supposed to be something called "internal weight" a club builder can add which fits between the weight and the screw?). Change grip to Golf Pride Z-grip cord midsize. Changing hosel setting to standard +1. The goal is to 1) get better grip since I tend so lose grip in warm and moist conditions with the current grips and 2) mitigate the misses to start more straight with less side spin. Also considering adding the Cobra Ltdx LS FW5 instead of my old Taylormade R9 and getting 14g heel and 6g toe weights with the same grip as the others and hosel setting standard +1.   All of the above is based on conversations with ChatGPT and, as everyone knows, it can come up with pretty much whatever but I spent a few hours asking about different perspectives etc and this was the recommendation. So, my question is basically, does it make any sense?   Thanks.
