I agree about RGIII - pocket passer with good legs, like Aaron Rogers, able to move well in the pocket and get out of Dodge quickly when needed.

It will extend RGIII's career if he keeps to this.  I know Rogers is fast, but I cringe whenever he runs.  He hardly slides and that will KO him if he tries it too much.

Posting this before the end of the game in an effort to stay slightly unbiased, but the refs in this Pats/Ravens game has been atrocious. Probably the best thing I can save about them is that they remind me of NBA refs, where you just have no rhyme or reason for why calls went one way or the other. I have no confidence that they'll make the same call in two exact situations.

It was nauseating.  I get up very early, ~5AM, so I turned it off in the 3rd with the Pat's up by 6.  Not worth it to watch anymore.  They definitely affected the outcome of the game. They called offensive pass interference on Edelman and then on Torrey Smith, but picked up the flag.  Neither was OPI.

I really admire Ed Reed, but he gave two head shots last night and they only flagged one of them.  The refs seemed confused as to where to spot the ball all first half.  They called completions and then spotted it back at the line of scrimmage.  Both Coaches were seen mouthing, "What are you doing?".

I think the Fans should collectively tell Roger Goodell that we are fining him for being an ass and letting this continue.

Replacement refs are struggling with the speed of the game and scrutiny of the players and coaches.  I don't envy their position and it's pretty obvious to anyone who watched the NFL this weekend they are impacting the outcome of games which is a big problem not just for the NFL but Vegas oddsmakers.

Goodell and the owners need to get this resolved asap before the entire season has an asterisk on it.

True dat. Only a matter of time until some safety draws a bead on him at full speed...

LOl @ the Packers getting hosed!

I keep forgetting... as a NFL owner I vote to bring back the old Officials and give them what they want.  Wouldnt want to see what happened tonight to happen to the Giants.

note: I am and will always be a Giants fan.

My Sunday's are free for more golf. I am done watching the NFL until the old refs come back. I can't watch a game where the outcome is screwed up by bad refs.

In my bag:

Nike Dymo 3 wood

TaylorMade Burner 3 hybrid

Mizuno MP-53 PW-3

TaylorMade RAC 52, 56, 60

Never thought I'd say this, but I think Russell Wilson just became the first QB in history to throw a game-winning interception

Perhaps Roger Goodell AKA the Emperor from Star Wars will get his head out of his ass now.

After watching the Packers-Seahawks game last night, I too am done watching football. The random calls and non-calls make games arbitrary events where the quality of play and execution for each team makes no difference on the outcome. They should just base the win/loss on the coin flip.

not just the game last night:

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/A3pDg6RCMAAoZ-8.jpg

there's why bellicheck was grabbing the ref. he wanted a review of the field goal, but apparently if a field goal is considered good by the ref it cannot be reviewed.

two teams given a loss because of replacement refs.

as for the "what would happen if this was the giants?"

it would be fixed today. mara is goodell's master and speaks with more authority than any other owner. i cannot stand him.

Did the Packers get screwed last night?  Yup!  For starters, that pass interference call on 1st and 30 was a joke.  Then, I dont know how you can call that a TD when Jennings clearly had the ball pinned to his chest and Tate only had 1 arm on the ball.  What a joke.

Only one problem with that though ... the Packers don't really have an owner.

The only problem is you cant grab a ref.  Bellichick has been pressing his luck with these refs a lot lately though and I hope that NFL smacks some sense into him.

    • Of course. I've used different words to start, but like 90-95% of the time it's been this one. And I'm unlikely to switch now.
    • Welcome to TST @Camjr.   We're glad you've joined.
    • Angle is not a factor. I hit the ball 100’ high. Par is net birdie. My CH is 16. The rough between the bunkers is like 10’ wide though. That’s not something you’re going to try to hit on purpose. Most of the area to the left of that is fescue/native vegetation and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a flat lie in any of it. It’s the second hole.
    • Hello all.  I'm about to be 57 yrs old, started playing when I was 16, and have quit and restarted the game more times than I can count.  I had started playing a weekly round with a friend, and finally made the jump to Senior A shafted Tour Edge clubs.  Instantly gained 10 yds with an easier swing (why didn't I make that jump sooner???).  Glad to be a part of the group. Cheers all,
    • I think I like this hole.  It is a clear "Risk-Reward" choice.  Since most of the shots in your cone cleared the bunkers I would say they are a minor risk and not a big issue.  Playing the aggressive line may give you 70ish yards in from what looks to be playable rough while conservative play is 120ish from fairway.  I know you said 70 vs 120 is minor for you but how does the approach angle in impact your results?  I figure both strategies are playing for Birdie since holing out from either is mostly luck. Looking at your proximity hole I think it says @ 50 feet when hitting from the fairway from 100-150 and 40 feet if hitting 50-100 from the rough.  Neither of those is an easy birdie putt.   I like the approach angle from the rough between the bunkers & the adjacent tees over the angle from @ 120 in the fairway but I really do not like the idea of hitting onto the adjacent tee boxes and that may impact my confidence with making the shot.  Also, too far left may be a worse approach angle then from the fairway short of the bunkers. For me this may come down to how confident do I feel when I reach that tee box.  If I am stroking it well off the tee leading up to the hole I would try for over the bunkers and the better angle in but if I am struggling that day I would likely opt for the fairway to take more bad stuff out of play.
