Pros use push carts. Stewart Cink was seen using a trolley playing East Lothian after the BO.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

I always carry.

I've tried to pull the clubs on a cart before, but I dunno it just didn't feel right. I probably should buy a stand though. I have an old Hippo bag from the mid 90s and I often have to lay it down if its windy or on bumpy terrain.

I'd say its about 50-50 on my course with carrying or pushing a cart.

If I'm walking the course (which is most of the time), I always carry. The only time I take a cart out is if it's really damn hot or if I'm playing a laid back, beer drinkin' round with the buddies.

Ha ha. I would consider it if I could enjoy a beer driniking round. Sounds fun! Not sure if I wil be able to do that in France or the UK though.

I usually walk and use the Sun Mountain push cart.  It is probably the only way I'd enjoy walking.  I don't enjoy carrying very much and don't really like the 2-wheeled pull carts you can rent at the course.

I really don't walk anymore because of a foot issue that will not go away but I really do prefer to walk playing golf.  When I first started playing golf, could not afford the extra expense of a riding cart so I used a pull cart.  After a few years, I gave up the pull cart and began carrying my clubs.  So, for years I carried my clubs when I did not rent a riding cart.  A few years back, some of my buddies wanted to start walking (all of us own EZGO carts) and they got the new push (not pull) carts.  Even at 60+ years old, I still carried my clubs.  I just don't like dealing with a push or pull cart.  Sure wish I could get the foot problem solved so I could walk some afternoons.

I've used a push cart (Clicgear) for years, but on a whim went back to carrying last week. Really enjoying it and, at the moment, also playing better! :-)

I'd forgotten the extra freedom of movement you have on the course with your clubs on your back.

Using one of these. Seems like a nice bag so far.

Stretch.

I carry and push. Mostly carry. Depends on my mood and availability of a push cart in the family.

My home club is quite hilly on the front nine and relatively flat on the back nine. Downhill for holes 1 thru 3, back up on holes 4 and 5, then all the way down for hole 6, relative flat hole 7 and back up on holes 8 and 9.

Contrary to what most are saying I find it easier to carry my bag especially on the hilly front nine.

When I use one of the club's 3 wheeled push carts I am winded going up the 4th and 5th holes.

Also we have a very strict policy of no push carts going between the bunkers and the green. This means considerably less walking by carrying the bag.

I walk 9 often and always carry, not sure if I would enjoy pushing more or not I never have really.  My dad's got a pushcart but he also tends to carry his bag.

I've walked my entire golfing career (I'm 39. I'll add that I do ride if it's a tournament team event and my partner is riding). I've carried my bag the entire time, with the exception of last year. Last year, I bought a TourTrek push cart to try out. I used it for most of the year. I've since converted back to carrying. A few things got me back to carrying. First, I didn't 't feel a difference, fatigue wise, in carrying vs pushing. Also, I like the versatility of carrying. If I need to hop a creek, I can do that carrying, not with a cart. Also, if I finish out a hole, I can carry my bag on a direct line across the green to the next tee box. I could see pushing when I get older, but I prefer to carry now.
