Tim Tebow refuses position change:

http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/_/id/9640640/tim-tebow-refused-change-positions-report?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm;_medium=twitter

That is consistent with what I heard as well regarding his time with the Pats.  They knew Gronk was hurt and AH had legal trouble so they brought in Tebow as TE/QB3 but he balked at playing TE and couldn't make the team as QB3.  He's just not good enough as only a QB to warrant a roster spot.  He's an amazing athlete and person but he lacks the release and timing a pro QB needs to make it in the NFL.

If he ever agrees to play TE or FB he has the potential to be very good and the fact he can take snaps at QB makes him even more valuable.

If the Pats and Jets didn't want him, perhaps instead he should look to the Sox and Mets?

Or re-enroll into college under a new name. Poor guy doesn't know when he's done. Reminds me of this guy.

To be fair to Tim Tebow, though ... coach DID put him in and they DID win "state."  Twice.

And if he offered me a bet that he could throw the ball over them mountains over there, I would politely decline.

He could. But I would bet him it would be intercepted and run back for a touchdown!

Whatever anyone thinks about Tebow, I'll always remember fondly the TD that sunk the rotten, lousy Steelers in the playoffs a few years back. That was awesome.

That game shouldn't have even been in Denver.

But hey, how about them Bungles?

I hate the Steelers way more than I like the Bengals.

Besides, they actually win more games than they lose in most years recently. I old enough to know that ain't all bad.

Typical. Though more typical of Browns fans, really.

Worry about your own team. How far did the Bengals get in the playoffs that year? Or last year? :-P

Is there a way to issue negative reputation. :pound:

Or any of the three years before that. I know what they've done.

There is a bunch of bitching by some people, but I remember the 90s. The novelty of watching a team make the playoffs hasn't gotten old for me.

Yeah. You move to Florida because your team is so bad… ;-)

One other quick question for you @iacas. Have the Steelers bought a leash for Porter yet?

No. They said some guy dressed in orange and black bought them all for some guy named "Vontaze."

I'll never understand this.  My dad is the same way - despises the Yankees and Giants way more than he likes the Dodgers.

Of course, I don't even understand caring enough about a team to worry about what happens more than about 3 seconds after any game ends.  I enjoy watching games sometimes and enjoy seeing my teams do well (which never happens) but just don't care about any of it once the games are over.

If you aren't a hater its hard to explain, but It is the hate that keeps you warm.

Not sure if that helps.

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
    • I managed to knock off a 3, a 13, and a 15 a couple of weeks ago. The 3 was a 185 yard par 3 with a 6 iron to 12 feet. 13 was a 350 yard par 4, which was a 2 iron and a 9 iron to about a foot. 15 was a 560 yard par 5 with a driver in a bunker, 4 iron into the semi, gap wedge to 8 feet and a putt.
