I don't know if this story is true and I doubt it is based on how pissed Elin was at Tiger but stranger things have happened. And if this does happen and they have a successful future together it will because Tiger changed himself, not Elin changing Tiger.

It's presumptious to assume they got married because they were in love. She may have been but I'm not sure if Tiger knew/knows what love is. If you love someone, you don't go whoring around; especially without condoms. For Pete's sake, even one was a porn star. Way to risk your life and the life of your wife for the pleasure of sticking Tiger Jr. in a human petri dish. That isn't love.

That being said, Tiger could change if HE wants to; I'm sure if he puts in half the effort that he does to change his swing into getting help with his problems, he stands a chance.

The point I was trying to make earlier is that he's done what appears to me as irrepairable damage to his relationship with that particular woman. She was publically humiliated and unless she's completely stupid, she'll realize this will always be a story and the whispering behind her back will continue for years. It's unlikely he'll ever be trusted again and she'll always be waiting for the other shoe to drop. He'll be under constant scrutiny and always be looking over his shoulder. How long do you think he'll be willing to endure that?

IMO, he should just get counselling and therapy but find another woman with whom he can start with a clean slate. She should find someone out of the public eye and live off the money she's already gotten.

I dont think seperate people re-unite for long.

she betraied him any way, she said "in desease, sickness or in health" and tiger was sex sick addicted

then she left with money.

nothing any ordinary people dont do every day

The concept of love is too abstract and subjective to be able to quantify so simplistically.  Love seems to be drastically different to many people I know.  I know people that swear up and down they love their spouses, and would go into a deep depression (and have before) if that spouse left them.  Yet they still cheat on them.  The longer I live on this earth the more I'm convinced that the challenge of human love is not to care deeply about having somebody and their well-being, but being selfless enough to forego indulging in acts that would hurt them.  A lot of people "love" somebody, but are still the same selfish bastards they were before they found that person.  I'm guessing you would assert that, that isn't love.  Touche.  But if it isn't love, then what is it?  How many people are truly capable of selfless love?

I won't delve into the human psyche and claim that it isn't love, but the children are probably better off with them being together, given that they don't fight all the time. If being with Elin is what Tiger wants, I'm all for it, as long as she's in it as well. I do believe Tiger is in a better state of mind in stable relationship.

It is the horror of men that they judge themselves by their intentions and others by their actions.

While we typically think about how great Tiger had it (or has it depending on your perspective),

we seldom consider the notion that his affluence, talents, opportunities, and accomplishments

have also provided nearly endless opportunities to destroy himself and others

through choosing pleasure and tranquility over the virtues and responsibilities of reality.

Well, you're spot on with it being selfless.

IMO to truly love your spouse means commitment; throw the parachutes out of the plane, cast off the lifeboats and commit to the ride you're on. If you don't have an escape plan, you'll try as hard as you can to make sure it works.

And yes selfish bastards/b!tches can change. But if you want to truly start with a clean slate, find someone who hasn't seen that old persona.

No matter how beautiful she is, somebody, somewhere, is sick of her shit!

Oh come on, "what appears to [you] as irrepairable [sic] damage"? There's one person who gets to decide what the damage is and whether its reparable, and it's not some guy on the Internet going by what he heard on ESPN2.

People do things that hurt those that they love all the time. It doesn't mean the love wasn't there, or wasn't real, it just means they made a bad decision. The extent of the damage from any hurtful act has to be determined by those involved (hint: this doesn't involve fans or the media). Many marriages survive infidelity, it depends on the circumstances. Should they give up on each other and their family just because they're public figures and it might be embarrassing to be asked questions about it?

There's more to life than getting tail.

Except for Tiger (aside from golf). He shouldn't have gotten married no doubt. Kind of odd though that he slept with all those women and now wants Elin back. Almost like it took cheating on her to realize he loved her. Great reading material for a man considering cheating, no? Though won't surprise me if this is fake.

man,

if he did get back with her with that pre-nup and she decided to be vindictive and not sleep with him regularly omfg.  It has to be gutwrenching for a guy like Tiger Woods to be relegated to some handaction because his wife won't have sex with him.

I just saw on the news that Tiger is reported to be dating Lindsey Vonn, the Olympic skier.  She looks a little bit like Elin, maybe people got them confused.

Lindsey Vonn would not be a bad catch. Not bad at all.
