Yeah, if you don't play often enough, you don't want them to get past their expiration date and go rotten. ;-)

I've never had that happen with golf balls.  Or with beer, come to think of it.

It's not about that, it's just the idea of spending $150+ on golf balls in one go. Besides, even at $26 a dozen it's still $11-$16 more than I pay a dozen now depending on which ones I buy.

It's very hot outside.

Went to the range, had an hour or so of practice. Started out with the short game, working on the pitching motion. Hit the Snell balls, using six of them for my practice. My distance control on the first two sets of six was very poor, but after a bad first on the third set, I hit the next five to within a few inches.

I'm a pretty good chipper, but I've been wanting to clean up my motion a bit. The fact that the handle moves very little in the pitching motion gave me the idea to try that with the chipping motion. Once again, distance control was a little off, but I picked up on it by the third set.

Up on the range (after a few minutes of putting), I started out working on my backswing. The feeling I'm working on is cocking the club up and the hands going deep, keeping the club head outside of the hands for as long as I can. Then, I flip the arms up and over, getting just a little bit over the shoulder. It came pretty quickly, in terms of making it work, but I'm having a little bit of a problem steepening on the way down.

A good session, all together.

Keep the club vertical at A3. It looks like you set it better to A2, but the flatten it out a ton. From A3 to A5 it does that shallow to steep move.

I signed up for evolvr today. I'm getting fitted for an Edel torque putter tomorrow.

Excited to see where it takes me.

So, got fitted for an Edel putter today. Should be here in a few weeks! I'm very, very excited.

By the end of the month I'll be seriously looking into getting some Edel irons, as well.

Got my first evolvr analysis back tonight. Storms are all around, so can't go to the range, but I can still practice indoors.

I think this is going to help a lot.

I picked blue and white for the logo colors, which are Georgia State colors, which is my alma mater. Looks even better than I thought it would. Feels great, too.

Good looking putter, how have you liked it so far? Seen improvements? Did you have the option to do the classic style putters? If so, why did you go with the torque balanced?

Got some video today.

This is from the very start of my practice session.

This is from FO, near the end.

This is after practice session, last shot.

I've been playing some solid golf lately, and though I'm not totally happy with where my backswing is, I'm pretty pleased with the results it's been giving me.

Perhaps my favorite thing about these videos is that I can really tell that I've lost 35 pounds. Really see how big I got in recent videos prior to this. Feels good, man.

Reuploading the 'after practice session, last shot' video, because it started too early.

Thanks man! I'm down to 285, which is still too much, but I'm getting there. Hoping to get down to around 240 before one of my best friend's wedding in May. Golf is helping with that!

What are you working on right now?

Do you want some small tips here, or are you on evolvr or working with someone in person?
