I appreciate you putting this offer out to us, it's part of what sets the Sand Trap apart from the other sites.  Thanks Erik!

Order submitted.

I'll admit I'm kind of disappointed. $105 gets you 13 PURE Grips (ignore the custom logo for now) - that's their regular pricing for the grips alone let alone the gun, shipping, etc.

Are you disappointed that more people didn't take advantage of it?  I think some people aren't as familiar with PURE and others are just afraid to regrip their own clubs.  I've never tried PURE grips before, but as you stated, the price, plus the custom logo and gun was too good a deal to not give them a test.

Yes. I'm aware of the possible reasons why... Maybe we didn't stress how easy installing your own grips can be, or people really don't want 5SK (just put them on upside down) on their grips, or who knows...?

Those who did take advantage are the wise ones. ;)

To be honest one of the reason's that I ordered them was in support for the generosity of the offer and in support of what you guys do.  I know you don't make anything off of it, so it is not that kind of support but more of a gesture.  They do look and sound awesome though so I am excited about that.  I understand as a business owner that sometimes the things you get excited about and do out of generosity are not lived out to their potential.  But those that have taken advantage of it do appreciate it.

I like to support things I believe are good. I've liked PURE Grips since we first contacted them (or maybe they contacted us), and they continue to produce a fine product. They replaced a whole order of grips when they discovered their manufacturer used less than perfect rubber for free, they are a small company that will answer your phone calls, and they sell directly to consumers AND pro shops, etc.

They make a damn fine grip and are good people.

I want to share my joy at discovering these grips - they last forever and look great and feel great too - with everyone else. That's the reason for doing this. :)

I would have ordered but I don't have an air compressor and don't really have a place for it in my garage currently. Too much baby stuff in there now. I thought the offer was awesome and I was really really tempted but without the compressor I didn't think it would be a good time.

I am excited for the P2 wraps. I have never tried a soft or a wrap grip but they seem pretty cool.  TMI, I have a bone spur in my left hand that irritates my hand so maybe they will even help with reducing irritations to my hand when swinging. 32 years old and a freaking bone spur in my hand...stinks.  I suppose if I do not like how soft they are I can always buy a set of pro's. :)

I would have gotten some if I could just buy a few to try. I just don't have the financial wherewithal to spend $105 plus the air compressor for something I'm not sure would handle my sweaty hands like the ND MCs. I did look on their website and there should be a dealer at a course I frequent, so maybe I'll try buying a few from them.

We'll run a thing like this again sometime in the future, I'm guessing.

    • A bit of background. The Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) runs an annual event known as "Team Play." It is a wildly popular match play competition where Men's Clubs across the region put together teams of 20+ golfers together to compete against other clubs in a 16 vs. 16 match. In any given year, approximately 80-100 clubs will participate. Each club is grouped into "pods" of 4, and will play 6 total matches - one home and one away match against the other 3 clubs. The winning club from each pod advances to the Team Play Playoffs - a single elimination format - until a winner is crowned.  Antelope Valley Country Club just advanced to the championship match for the 3rd consecutive year. They won the championship in both 2022 and 2023.  Based on my review of the match history from the past 3 years (linked below), they have won 21 consecutive team matches. Keep in mind, these are handicapped matches, so this is not just a case where a group of sticks bands together to dominate the poor amateurs other SoCal clubs. Even if these guys are grinders who never quit, play their best under pressure and routinely putt the lights out, the law of averages still say that a streak of that nature is mathematically impossible.  Is there any plausible explanation beyond institutionalized sandbagging throughout the club? • Interesting that Scottie is #10 on the all time money list and he's been on the PGAT for 4 years. Of course, purses are bigger now, but  neat to look at non-the-less.  The list of top 18 money winners in PGA Tour history has plenty of surprises This list is updated through the 2024 RBC Heritage. To add, Scottie won 4.5 million at the Players, Jack played 44 seasons and won a little of 5 million on course.
    • 43 (6 over) Couple bogies, couple Pars, a birdie and no doubles. Not bad for first 9 of the year.
    • Most the stuff I found on Instagram and just copy and mix it up. a few of my favorites: Clean>Squat>Press> March Around the body >catch >Squat> press I also hold a the kettle bell upside down with both hands on the handle. Squat when I stand back up I lift the kettlebell up over and behind my head and hold then repeat
