post width and truncated videos

Some times when I try to watch an imbedded video a portion of the video is truncated to make room for the banners and stuff on the right hand side of the screen. Even the button to "watch this video on youtube" is inaccessible. Is there something I need to change in my profile settings??

It only seems to affect the top of the thread, further down it widens up.

Hope that makes sense...

It happens like that with the videos when you don't have the window maximized to the full screen.  At least, that is what happens to me.

It happens to me even when I do have the window maximized.  I am using Chrome Version 24.0.1312.57 m

I do not think this happens at home, on my mac.

I'm using chrome as well, on a mac.

Oddly, I returned to thread that prompted this one and everything was fine even though I didn't change anything on my end....

Maybe it's Chrome then.  I use IE here at work and Safari on a Mac at home.  Both have worked OK when I have the window mazimized.

is this an example of what you're encountering?

the above image was taken with chrome closed down to about 5/8 of the total viewing surface of my 15" laptop. the next image was with chrome completely filling my screen, but with the lowest possible resolution settings (800x600).

please note that both of these images are of my entire screen, and how different the images are. make sure your graphical settings are the same at work and home - if your PC at work is set to a lower resolution, everything is going to be bigger and take up more space.

Videos are hard coded at a certain size. If your browser window is too small to fit the left-hand and right-hand columns (if the post is in the top section where there IS a right-hand column), then it will be cut off.

Stop looking on such a tiny display or browser window. :)

it sounds like it would have to be an issue with your display settings - a maximized browser window (regardless of screen size) should display this forum in its full width. 2012-13 macbook pro's have a native resolution of 2880x1800 - check and make sure your graphical settings are not extremely low (i.e. set to "larger text").

It happened again, first time since my OP.

I'm not very tech savvy and I'm totally new to the mac world. Resolution is set to 1280x800.

Looks like you're zoomed in to me.  When I zoom in on my 24" screen the same thing happens.

Yep, that fixed it. Odd, I'm pretty sure I tried this (command 0 to un-zoom) last time and it didn't work.

      Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.

      Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.

      Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
