Thank you!

I'm not sure we can be friends if that's your swing after 2 years. I mean come on that's just @#$%&!*&.

Swing looks amazing bud I'm not surprised and I'm very very happy for you. We will have to get out once you crack open those irons.

Thanks bud...I think.  ;-)  I hopefully will bust them out this week for another session.

It could help the wrist from becoming injured again in the same place where I had the surgery.  I am just trying to avoid all of this happening again.  Thanks for the compliment.

I realize now my post was not at all clear.  I meant the early, full wrist hinge to start the swing, almost before anything else has moved.  Is that what you're talking about?  I didn't mean the little wrap/string thing, which I gathered from your original post was meant to potentially prevent further injury.

Yeah basically I was trying to work on one of the pieces I was working on before the injury.  Which was getting the toe up at 2 to try and help deal with my miss which was and still seems to be over-draws.

Well I have a piece that is a priority to be working on.  No point to just going to the range to hit balls, that is what the course is for.  Trying to get the arms and body working together to reduce the overtaking rate and improve club face to path consistency.

It has been a long time coming but I made my first real swings today in a very long time.  I only hit about 30 balls, but it felt great.  The wrist has some very slight soreness but overall it felt very sturdy.  This was a about a 125 yard ball flight from a 7 iron.  I will try to get to the range a couple times a week and work on getting stronger with the swings.  Swung a couple very easy swings with a fairway wood as well and that also felt very solid thus far.

Not sure how I missed this last week, but...

So awesome to see you being able to play a full round. I'm excited to get together to play a round. Was the wrist sore after you finished?

Just a very small amount of soreness.  Felt great overall though.

Two different mini driver swings.  One was a hook and one was a fade.  Only difference in feel was getting the right shoulder to the target quicker on the second swing.   I feel like I am close to a decent driver pattern but still have some work to do. Uploading to evolvr soon.

It is interesting how on Monday I hit nearly every drive well and mostly fades, then this morning I cannot stop hooking the ball.  A different day and can keep the clubface open.  I know the feel I am supposed to use to do it, just could not make it happen today.  Oh well, maybe next time.  I will probably hit the range today and work on my priority piece and hopefully I can correct it.

I did get to the range.  Moved the grip just a bit weaker in the left hand, but basically just worked on my priority piece in the DS.  Felt the hips forward in the BS as well.

    • I looked it up. Sounds interesting.

    • Day 54: Set up a chipping/pitching area in my basement because we are having a F-ing Nor’Easter! Worked off a mat and off my putting mat which is a tighter lie.   I also think I’ve solved the temperature issue with club assembly. My basement is 55F,  so I set up a lamp to get the temp around 80 where the club heads are. I used my BBQ thermometer to measure the temp. I am such an enginerd! I had to re-epoxy my Titleist heads because they were starting to get loose.
    • HRV points toward recovery more than sleep from what I have seen. My sleep is always high but my recovery may or may not be. 101, nice! I was talking to a friend of mine and his is always high. He showed me a screenshot from yesterday and it was 115.  I made it a point to look at my strain this morning when I woke up but before I got moving around much. It was 0.0 as well so I believe you’re correct on hitting the heart rate threshold. I have just never looked at it that quickly.
    • If you are 'old' you will surely be familiar with the pre 2019 definition of 'Lost Ball'. The new version says  Lost/1 – Ball May Not Be Declared Lost A player may not make a ball lost by a declaration. A ball is lost only when it has not been found within three minutes after the player or his or her caddie or partner begins to search for it. For example, a player searches for his or her ball for two minutes, declares it lost and walks back to play another ball. Before the player puts another ball in play, the original ball is found within the three-minute search time. Since the player may not declare his or her ball lost, the original ball remains in play.
