Hi guys, I'm a fan of Imperial visors and recently got a few made with The Sand Trap logo.  I wanted to start this thread to see how many would be interested in a TST hat.  Gotten some interest so far just want to see if it makes sense to put in an order.  Price would be in the $15-20 range, basically covering my cost and shipping.  Post in this thread if you're interested.

Here is a pic of the visors, a few are available, can also post in this thread if you want one, as of right now, only 3 are left.

Going to be ordering two styles, The Sandman and The Prodigy (fitted).  If you want a fitted hat, please let me know what size, options are below.

I'll take a visor. Pm me the details. Will take at least one hat if there is an order.

I like either of those first two. The third one is fitted, which I can only assume would make sizing much more annoying. Plus (and I can't be the only one like this), I always seem to be in-between sizes and I wouldn't want to worry about buyer's remorse ordering one without trying it on. The first two are velcro, which is my favorite of the non-fitted enclosures. I think I would lean towards the first one, "Ellipse", though the only thing that gives me pause is that the eyelets are navy, and don't really fit in with the TST colors (plus, the second one is called "The Sandman"). I think "Ellipse" is my favorite.

In my bag:

I definitely get what you are saying about the worry of getting a fitted hat via an online order.  It is unfortunate that is the case because I prefer fitted hats and like the way they feel/look.

Of the choices available, I like the second one (Sandman)... name is good, I like that the eyelets are white and that it is structured. Too bad the fitted isn't an option... while I understand that there are issues with fitted, I like them best... Oh well. I'll probably get a couple of these as I tend to go through hats in the summer.

I don't really care which style was chosen, but if I had to choose I guess I'd vote for sandman because of the aforementioned non-contrasting eyelets.  Either way, I would order one or two.  I'm assuming that you are only going to order them in white?

I would probably get 2 visors and a hat.

I could never buy a visor, I think that's before my generation :)

I like the first hat you showed. It would look nice with TST logo on it.

Driver: 10.5* callaway Razr Hawk Tour - 350 yards(usually into the wind, it can be windy here. at least 400 with a little wind behind me)

Hybrids: 2 and 3 callaway Hybrid razr tour (312 and 287 respectively)

Irons: 3i-10i callaway forged standard length(278, 263, 250, 235, 221, 213, 201, 190)

I'm too bald for visors.

Would take two hats though.

Unfortunately, I shave my head clean with a Gillette Fusion and have that "Mr. Clean" look. A visor wouldn't work for me, but I do wear fitted hats. If you do decide to give a fitted option, I would gladly take two of each (L/XL) in white and black!

I would defly be interested in one of the hats. If you decide to order, Just PM me with the info.

Bald spot dictates no visor for me.  I like structured hats the most, but would get an unstructured one.

Thanks guys, yes I'll go ahead order some hats.  Probably go with The Sandman style in white.  I think white works best for The Sand Trap logo.  When you order these hats you have to order them in bulk so I'm not sure what the minimum amount they would need for the fitted option, but I'll look into it.

    • The highlights as I see them: Championship and Challenger Series The creation of the PGA Tour and the PGB Tour, in the words of Joel Dahmen a few years ago. They're calling them the Championship Series (23-24 events) and the Challenger Series (20+ events). Both run February to August. They feel this will achieve three things: increasing the consistency and quality of fields across the season creating a clear system for players to earn and retain status and delivering a more structured and competitive experience for fans and partners—all in an effort to strengthen meritocracy. Championship Series Structure and Eligibility The 23-24 events includes the Players, majors, season-ending events, and the Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup. These will be 72-hole events with a 36-hole cut to the top 65 and ties and purses of $20M+. 120 players without an alternate list. 90 players (roughly) from the previous year and 20 players promoted from the Challenger Series. Full eligibility will be finalized later this year. Sites (cities) to be finalized soon, but 10 of the 15 courses have already been determined. Postseason: includes retention and relegation and concludes with match play. The Tour Championship will also be played across a rotation of prestigious courses. Challenger Series Structure and Eligibility 20+ events. Running concurrently. Will feature players fighting their way back to the Championship Series or players graduating and on the upswing from the Korn Ferry Tour. Many of these events will be current PGA Tour courses. About 7 of the Challenger Series events will be during off weeks for the Championship Series with elevated purses and visibility. Purses of at least $4M, with cuts similar to the Champ series. 144 player fields. Competitive Fields for Both Series Players will be eligible for only one series at a time: Championship Series Players are not eligible for Challenger Series events. Championship Series members will have a known schedule with all events having the same eligibility. Players and Majors will have their own eligibility criteria. Championship Series players don't have to play all events. This begs the question about, say, the Canadian Open, and other "home-town" events that players might want to play, even if they're Challenger Series events. Will releases be granted? Promotion and Relegation At least 90 players will be retained in the Championship Series, and 20 players will be promoted from the Challenger Series each year. Battlefield promotion for two-time winners from the Challenger Series. Players relegated from the Championship Series will have a "last chance" opportunity to retain status, or will go to the Challenger Series. Criteria will be finalized before the start of the 2027 season. Points System New points system (not FedExCup points). Separate points systems for the Championship and Challenger Series. Elevated points in the Challenger Series for off-weeks on the Championship Series. More details tk. Elevated International Events in the Fall The fall schedule will include a limited series of elevated international events with top players from the Championship Series, with the intent to deliver in partnership with the DP World Tour as part of the Strategic Alliance. Last Chance Series The Tour will develop a “last chance” series of 4-6 events in the fall, with a limited number of spots on the Championship Series available for top finishers. Eligibility will include players relegated from the Championship Series, Challenger Series players, and other categories to be determined. Q-School continues, as do the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour Latinoamerica. Also, Brian Rolapp is the new commissioner as of January 1, 2027.
