Thanks again for the invite I really appreciate it. That was a fun day and I'm really out of shape. Walking 18 wrecked me for today ha ha. We should try to get together at the range over fall and winter.

Yeah, we should hit up the simulator in Oconomowoc as well.  That is pretty fun.

So I probably played my last 9 holes of the year today.  I was very pleased with my ball striking. Evolvr has helped me a ton just in one month. Well that and the month Erik and Mike helped me.  I shot a 38 on par 35 short very easy course.  I had a double on the hardest hole a short par 3 but its hard if you miss the green which I did and had a bogey on the 2nd hardest hole when I thinned my 8i a little bit and ended up short with and  I failed to get up and down.   I only really missed that 8i on with my full swings the rest of my full swings were really good. I was hitting a little fade or a little draw with my driver and all of my irons. I pared the last 5 holes and it was fun I didn't make a putt but I was in good position on basically every hole after number 2.  I pushed my drive on #8 but it was on a pretty open hole so I wasn't in trouble.  This was the 1st time I have left the course feeling like I hit the ball good all day.  I hit a few extra shots for practice since I don't think I will be getting out on the course until spring .  I hit a few 4 woods just for practice off the tees on a few of the par 4's and I was just smashing them.   Im so happy with direction Im heading with Evolvr's help.  If your considering it at all do it.  Its the best $$$ you will spend on golf I promise.

So Ive been working with evolvr for a few months now and Im very happy with how they have helped me get better, I just wanted to put a vid of my driver since I haven't used any for evolvr.  Im much happier with the FO view I just want to be swinging from the inside more on my DL.  Today I was hitting mostly small push fades and every once and a while a small pull that went basically straight

Im still struggling getting my path from the inside on full swing shots.  If I have a slight pause at the top of my backswing I can drop the club inside but without the pause I get the swing in my last post. Winter is officially here. The high today is in the teens so I don't know how much work Ill be able to put in actually hitting balls.  Im kinda frustrated not being able to figure this out but Im happy my key #1&2 are a lot better.  On a bright note I was lucky enough to gets some gift cards to Erin Hills so  guess what Im doing this summer .

I am pretty excited as well for Erin this summer.  That is going to be a blast.

As for the swing.  Have you tried exaggerating the push out to the right?  That is kind of what I was doing here . Also why not keep doing the pause for now, there is nothing wrong with that as far as I am aware of.  Keys four and five are tough bud.  Keep at it, I am liking the changes so far.  Take your biggest priority piece that they have given you and just drill it all winter so that by the spring you can't get it wrong.

Thats basically what I my drill is. I have no problem with doing the drill all winter.  What was your feel for that?

Just read through the first couple of posts and then the last few pages and wanted to say that what you've done with your swing is fantastic - keep it up as this is a really inspirational thread :-)

Thanks. I can't take any credit at all. It's all because of Erik, Mike, and a lot of other helpful members of this fantastic wealth of knowledge. Also evolvr has been a huge help lately. I've only been doing Evolvr for a few months but it is amazing. They way they explain what, why, and how you need to make a change is just awesome.

The ball hitting the hosel.

:-P

Hehe.  That could easily happen though, doing this.  I just imagine I am hitting the ball to right field.  Don't know it you played baseball and can picture that or not but I imagine second base straight out in front of me and try and push it way right of that.

Still working with evolvr trying to get myself in a better position at the start of my downswing. Nate is also trying his best to help me which I really appreciate.   Whats funny is as my swing is improving Im getting worse and worse with my driver which used to be one of my best clubs.  Im sure its just temporary but its the opposite of how my game has been forever.

That's great. You're pretty fortunate to have someone like that who can help you out. I'm still figuring this game out (at least the playing part) mostly on my own. I got to play 9 holes with @cipher in Erie and I can tell you he sees the golf course differently than I do. It was a great experience. Learn as much as you can.

It's much deserved. As to my comment about how you see the course differently than I do, I remember @Lihu and I were talking about how you and @jamo were breaking down the landing areas, looking for the best angle into the next shot, or the best spot for a favorable bounce, etc. That kind of thing will probably take me years to figure out on my own and it would be awesome if I knew a good golfer that I could play with on a regular basis. That's why I suggested to @Jakester23 that he should learn as much as he can. Hey buddy, sorry about the thread-jack.

Don't worry about it. I agree with you and I'm lucky to have someone to talk to about getting better like Nate. He definitely has a better game plan for attacking a course then anyone I've played with. It was interesting playing a new course with him. He had played it prior and gave me info pertaining to the next shot that was definitely more then I could provide if I was in his shoes. He's a smart dude :).
