Even though the market is seeming to get a little saturated with Superhero films, I have nothing bad to say about Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I give it an eagle. Despite a few weak spots, it's a well told spy thriller set with superheroes. Also, I'd say the action scenes and cinematography is about the best I've seen so far from the genre. I thought it was very well done.

Funny.  I wanted to come on here and rate that one an eagle as well, then decided that maybe I was being too easy.  I loved it!

Also, it ties in beautifully to the Agents of Shield Tv show.  I'm really glad I stuck with that one through the mediocre beginning because I'm really enjoying it right now.

I had the same feeling. A birdie wouldn't quite be doing it justice. And as much as Cap can be somewhat of a corny character to write dialogue for, I really enjoyed how he reacted to the drama going on around him. I loved the elevator scene.

I recently did a watch of almost all the films of Hayao Miyazaki, and I'm completely awestruck and I don't read manga or watch anime. Great storytelling and imagination.

Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle are my two favorite, just brilliant works of art.

I'm a complete movie junkie, but somehow never saw Fight Club until last night. Wow.  That movie is going to take awhile to digest.

Fight Club is one of the few movies I saw more than once in the theatre. Loved it. I'm halfway through the second Hobbit movie. I'm not really enjoying it so far.

Just realized the rating scale.  I would seriously give Fight Club an Eagle.  Great film.  I need to watch it again.

Look for the Fight Club version on YT or Vimeo where they erase Brad Pitt out of the picture.

I can't find it - the one where he's erased the entire movie. Here's just a scene.

Yea, that's the only scene I was able to find, too.  Pretty neat.

Happy Birthday to the greatest actor of all time.  Jack is 77 today!  A real shame that we'll probably never see him in another film.

The Station Agent. Birdie. A great pov look into how people treat you when you're different and dealing with it. Whimsical too. Peter Dinklage speaking in his normal voice (no British accent.)

Saw that years ago. Definite birdie. Great movie.

    • I’d go with the Titleist if you liked the look of the blades but were suffering with distance. They should be a little more forgiving than a full blade and still retain some workability. Also remember to consider the shafts each have as this will be a big contributor to how they feel. Clemsonfan is right though… get fit or spend a bit of time on a launch monitor 🤙
    • Day 28: 2026.01.30 Managed to make time for a few swings out back today. Need a proper bit of range time this weekend.
    • Day 30, 1/30.  Six minutes this morning hitting a few more range balls, indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Did this before leaving the house.

    • Hi All my New Year’s resolution was to start playing golf again. I’ve caught the bug and am really enjoying hitting balls at a couple of my local ranges.looking forward to getting back out on courses in the spring. Based in the UK and 38 years old, I’ve been playing since I was a kid. Best handicap I’ve held is 2 in my mid 20s. Over the past 10 years I’ve played once or twice a year, sometimes with friends or for work. Could shoot 4-5 over, but just as easily shoot 15-20 over. I’ve moved to South Wales and am very lucky to be near some world class links courses, which gives me even more motivation to get playing again! I will start looking for a local coach in my area when I have more time to invest, but I recalled scouring this forum a few years ago and finding some good tips and advice so wanted to give it a try to see if there were any glaring issues I could fix in the meantime!  A few swings below… one from 1st week Jan and one from today. I have fixed my P1 takeaway to my liking and am now working on what I see as pretty severe early extension & hip thrust. Also terrible hip rotation. I’d like confirmation that this is indeed a problem and and suggestions on a few good drills. Thanks for reading 🙂 I've been Playing Golf for: 30+ years My current handicap index or average score is: 10ish over My typical ball flight is: mid The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: push right with irons, hooks and push with driver!  Videos:
