I don't think that @RomanHamburg will make it. If I remember right he was going back to Germany sometime in the middle of this month. My buddy Barrett ( @Bechambo ) should be joining us as well.

Yeah, I remember him saying that too. I've tried to get confirmation from Pakoh, golf swine, and beach too. Not heard back yet. (Also not really my news so you didn't hear it from me ... But as of Sunday beach is +1, if ya know what I mean ;))

Any ideas for format? Are we going to do the same stableford game or do we want to try something else?

I would vote for the same, only to check my progress. Any other format is fine too.

Just sent a mass PM to everybody in the group. Hopefully we can get some of the group members who haven't made it to one of these to come out.

I didn't get it. :)

I think the Stableford format works out fine. @Lihu and @hacker101 , just please give us accurate an handicap index and the tees preferred for your kids. You'll likely be a foursome.

My son feels good with blues, and I'm going to play the same. Can't give an accurate index yet. Things are in flux with both of us. Can we give them to you closer to the event?

Not sure why you wouldn't have got it. I just clicked the "Send PM To Group" button on the group overview page.

Yeah... there is plenty of time before the outing. For those of us who keep an official handicap, why don't we plan on using the Feb. 1st revision. The people who don't have an official one can figure it out at that time.

This is perfect ... At my current rate, I'll be double digits by February. :)

Yeah blues should be fine for him.  I played there last week from the blues, I'm not long and had wedges into most par 4's.  It was just a regular Wednesday so I assume they typically put the blues tees a bit forward.

That's kind of lame. It's only 6500 yards. Forward of that? :P

You may want to see if others got it. I didn't. Maybe it is broken?

My bad, just looked at the scorecard and that's the yardages we played from.  They have room for another set of tees further back on most holes so I figured those were the "real" blue tees.

I got it, what Drew said, "conversation between Tristan and me".

Then maybe we'll have to play "the markers" or something, because 6500 yards is short enough (the only real water seems to be the 18th), and wedges into most par fours doesn't sound like a great test. I'm not macho - even 6800 is fine - but if it's 6300 at the longest that's not terribly great.

@iacas

Are you sure you are an actual member of this group. Looking at the list of members, I don't see you. I think that maybe you are able to post because you are the admin.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
