Chamblee, typically hated BY TW apologists..............sorry I need to proofread.

I love Feherty, but admit that I must carefully manage the dosage.

Speaking of Feherty, who would you like to see him feature? Some that come to my mind are: Laura Davies, Peter Thompson, Sam Torrance, Bill Murray and Darren Clarke.

I used to like Feherty more when we were getting smaller doses of him. It seems like he  is pushing a little too hard lately. I can't blame him when you get a shot at it take all you can.

I think the Golf Channel is pretty darn good. It's not easy to do golf 24/7. The people that play the game just simply aren't that interesting, but they do a great job of paying attention to the key storylines, without beating them over the head like ESPN does. The Golf Channel is watchable pretty much 24/7. It's not perfect, I don't love everyone on it, but they do a pretty fantastic job in my opinion.

I picked up watching golf from my late father-in-law.  The best thing for me about watching golf is it can get tense and exciting for the players but relaxing for the viewer at the same time.

Every channel has polarizing personalities.  I can do without the Morning Drive crew, but I can also do without pretty much every morning show (Today Show, Good Morning America, Fox and Friends).  It's hard to fill that much time, so they try to keep it light and goof around - it's fin,e it's just not my style.

The best thing they have done in recent years is more European Tour coverage on the weekends - I love being able to get up and turn on live golf in the morning - that's probably why The Open is my favorite tournament to watch.  I think they do a great job covering the majors and could do with less Kelly Tilghman, but I'm not sure who would serve as an anchor without her.  Her prepared lines are usually too over the top for me, but she does an admirable job, I guess.

In the end, I can put on a show about golf any time I want - that's a good thing.

He's turned into a parody of himself. No, he's turned into a parody of McCord.

Pretty much agree, with some qualifications.

Kelly, comes across as so fake and disingenuous I could puke. Pom pom waver! If they want to have a women that can speak intelligently about golf, the tour and maybe have a clue of humor, bring back Stephanie Sparks cute, fun and most of all genuine. Win McMurray or the other blond are fine too.

Gary is fine.

Charlie is fine, often ridluled about his eating habits like a frat house member, which was kind of amusing once, now it seems to be the on going daily joke......a joke is good once.

Holly, does nothing for me as far as content, heels lipstick and a cocktail dress looks so out of place. Outside of looks what value does she really bring? I now she's a good golfer, her previous role of reading headlines worked.

Thank god they got rid of Rhishad, took bad he didn't take Kelly with him.

Notah Begay, too monotone to come across as authoritive or interesting.

Damnon Hack has improved and shows enthusiasm for the sport and learning process.

Matt Ginella, there is a need for travel segment, I think its pretty obvious why Matt is on camera and for which demographics .

Micheal Breed, the show shows promise, but he talks way to much and too fast,it cmes across as irritating, slow it down.

Don't forget Martin Hall.

Holly is there to straighten up his ratings... and everyone else's

Eye candy who keeps it moving. Yes, the cocktail dress thing is for one thing ... next step is a plunging neckline for those dresses. Wonder why they haven't gone to the scissors yet...

I have always found Feherty pretty hilarious.

Also enjoy the Michael Breed instructional segments although...generally speaking I am not a big fan of receiving or adhering to instruction from someone who is not looking at your particular swing.

Currently there is friggin tiger love fest on the GC, with the pom poms being waved by Kelly, please! everyone knows who tiger woods is, the sun will come up tomorrow.  The stage hands should get some tissues to clean up the wet spot.

excuse me I need to go puke and change the channel

I am recording every episode. What a treat to be able to have watched the greatest player to ever play the game and he is only 38 at least another ten years of coverage I figure!

exactly... whether he is relevant or not. Even when he's 15 shots back, we still get every stroke even while some kid is lighting up the course and all we get is "this was earlier..."

he's not so much the problem as the bias and drooling on the TGC set, mostly by Kelly and Slow Lerner.

I used to watch all of Golf Central, it comes on at 5:00 p.m. here...now I wait until 5:20 or so....the Tiger butt kissing adoration period is usually over by then, though not always. The last ten minutes or so are decent.

    • I did the RTJ trail, we just did Grand National and Capitol Hill. We were trying to minimize travel time. It gave us 5 courses to play. You pare playing 3 of the 5 we played.  If I had to pick, I would play the Lakes over the Links at Grand National. Links felt too penal on approach shots. If you can't get height or spin, it felt like every ball that hit the center of the green ran off the back. A lot of the greens require force carry, no running it up. It just wasn't that fun to play.   Judge - Really good course, some really cool holes and terrain.   Senator - Really fun open course. They call it link style, I can't remember how much you can play the ball down, but it has the aesthetic appeal.
    • I do that at the range; I just have been going through a half-assed pre-shot routine. 😇 I just kind of waltz up to the ball and hit it. I catch myself just going through the motions of aiming. Once I started aligning my club to an intermediate target, I felt like I was aligned way open to the target but just trusted it. Like, if the club was aimed at the flag in the middle of the green, then my body was aligned left of the green or more (assuming something like a 100+ yard shot). I think I was more concerned with where my feet were lined up and not the clubface.  A question on alignment then.  So, the ball is like what, 3-FT away from the toe target line. So, does that mean if my toe line is aimed at the flag, the club is aimed 3-ft right? Does the perception of the green looking smaller in the distance impact that in terms of how we hit the shot? I feel like the geometry should work that the ball is actually aimed 3-FT right.
