Count me in for next year! How about next spring somewhere between NYC and Boston?

Best idea I've heard so far!

There is always next year.

We're like Cubs fans now?

** BUMP **

After reading the NY outing thread I wanted to go and play but the 5 hour drive to get there is a bummer.

I sent Jamo a message to see if we might try this Mass outing again in the fall.  Doesn't have to be anything huge... just a bunch of guys looking to have some fun.

Depending on when and where, I'm a maybe.

I play till it snows out or they close the courses down.

I have two cards from a few years back that were Jan1st and Jan 8th.  It was one of those winters we didn't get any snow and I thought it was cool that I golfed twice in one week in January in New England!

In the fall in Mass they have some pretty sweet deals.  Cyprian Keeys usually does $20 for 18 holes with a cart!  That's a great deal.

So if Sep or Oct work for some, we can setup something.

Seeing how my club is going to close soon, I will be traveling for golf so Boston area might be an option.

The closing of the club for the season is always sad but luckily some muni's stay open late into the season.  We will have to try and setup something.  I never heard back from Jamo so we can always see if anyone wants to join and go from there.  Doesn't have to be 20 guys or a mini tourney.

I golf mainly in Central Mass and have hit the Cape a few times heading into winter as they usually have less/no snow.  Always open to trying a new course.  Keep me posted.

Looking like mid 50's for Sat so I am browsing for the fall specials after this post!  Amazing how many pack it up early around here.  I don't mind playing when it is a little cold out.

I played in 39* weather the other day. Cold is not a big deal. I don't like cold and windy though but if someone else is as addicted to golf as I am, I'm game.

Sweet!  I don't mind the cold.  Use to work outside all winter long.

I don't know if I am addicted..... maybe say a Golf Junkie???!!! ;-)

    • Attempting to lift. Any better?
    • Day 82: mirror work again tonight. Working on the same shoulder down and roll and twist stuff. Going on vacation tomorrow and putting the clubs down, so new streak starts in about 10 days!
    • Day 44, June 17.  Today was some preliminary stretching, exploring what I'll want to set up as a regular routine (both while on vacation without clubs and when I'm back) (aside: this is part of an upcoming goal to stretch daily in a meaningful way, but I don't plan to count it as practice on days that I can meaningfully practice with a club)
    • Having a rough week. Went to the Dr. because I was really weak and could hardly swing my driver.  I take Propranolol 20 mg tablets twice a day. Seems like the Propranolol was driving my pulse down (low 50's).  So we cut the dosage in half and I started taking my blood pressure. It was a little high but pulse came up.   Then yesterday I raised it to 15 mg tab by taking it 3 times a day. Blood pressure 127 / 77 Pulse 75.  Heading out tomorrow morning for 18 holes.    I have my driver set at 10.5* but seem to have my swing speed to low and I can't get the lift on the ball I need.  I have not played this week in hopes I will have the strength to raise my swing speed. I may have to raise my loft to 12* . (I will take my driver wrench) tomorrow. (This Parkinson's is a pain in the butt.)  Will give you a report when I get back.    Retired Old Man, Terry
    • You still got to lift your arms. You basically just roll your wrist over in the 1st half of the backswing.
