I'd be up for joining you on a "pre-run" of the course. Have played Hidden Valley, Champions Club and Tukwet Legends (out of the C.V.) along with a couple muni tracks on the west side of the pass. I'll keep an eye on the thread for arrangements being made. Jeff

Sure thing, I'll add you to the PM chain.

Count me in on May 4th, can't play prior to that, but I'll make a 5/4 outing!

Alright guys, were getting closer to the date, and Black Gold requires a signed contract and a pretty solid head count, so I'd like to get that going. I have the following people in for sure. If I list you here and you're not planning on coming or it's just a maybe, let me know ASAP; it'll be easier to add on versus take off. If I don't list you, and you plan on coming, also let me know.

Wow, big group for this one!  Nice.

I'm not sure if the timing of this one works for me, and I probably can only make one more this year since that's all I have in the budget :-) .  When do you need to know for sure?

By the way, thanks for tagging me.

It's easier to leave you off and add you on later than the other way around, so for now we'll assume you can't make it. If things change at any point, let me know.

Hey T,

First as always thank you for the hard work once again.

I would be a +1, my son, I know last time we were not able to add any quests but if we need one more to make up a forth person in a group and okay with everyone I am sure my father in law would like to join the outing. Just let me know one way or the other.

Thanks Mike

And if I remember correctly, @mdl was a probable 'no' for this one ... which is part of the reason why we veered away from Temecula and towards Yorbal Linda, I think.

Yeah, @Golfingdad is right.  I was hoping to make it still but some stuff has come up and the past couple weekends and the next couple will be busy and stressful as well, including next weekend when I'll be away all weekend.  So I'm not gonna leave the wife by herself all day again.  Pregnancy has been kind of brutal on her.  So count me out for this go around.

This could be the first So. Cal. outing I miss.

Just found out that I might need to travel for work early May, but that is still TBD.

Need us to pick up Kaili let me know.

I'll broach a somewhat serious topic a bit here, and I fully realize I'm not in Southern California, but I know some others might not bring this up to be polite, so I'm fine mentioning it and you can get mad at me if you want.

Wasn't the last one the final one at which y'all were bringing your kids? It's a "guy's gathering" and when someone brings a kid, it quickly loses the feel of a "guy's get-together."

Now, if the two of you ( @Lihu and @hacker101 ) wouldn't even come without your kids, and you're content to always play as the "hacker+Lihu and kids foursome," then nothing has to change.

So there I said it, and sorry, but I know it's been a topic of conversation. Not a big one, but it's there, and I'm a fan of airing things and reaching an understanding. I hate it when things aren't said.

Sorry that I was not aware that it was a topic of conversation, and did not realize that it was supposed to have been a "guy's get-together". However, if we can keep kids together in one foursome with the parents I'm content with this. Now, I need to do better to sure I can make the round for @hacker101 and his son.

We can also create a "kids allowed TST outing" too? This might possibly encourage others with kids to join in on some more TST outings?

Also, what if the kid's join the forum? Would they qualify as "one of the guys"?

    • Attempting to lift. Any better?
    • Day 82: mirror work again tonight. Working on the same shoulder down and roll and twist stuff. Going on vacation tomorrow and putting the clubs down, so new streak starts in about 10 days!
    • Day 44, June 17.  Today was some preliminary stretching, exploring what I'll want to set up as a regular routine (both while on vacation without clubs and when I'm back) (aside: this is part of an upcoming goal to stretch daily in a meaningful way, but I don't plan to count it as practice on days that I can meaningfully practice with a club)
    • Having a rough week. Went to the Dr. because I was really weak and could hardly swing my driver.  I take Propranolol 20 mg tablets twice a day. Seems like the Propranolol was driving my pulse down (low 50's).  So we cut the dosage in half and I started taking my blood pressure. It was a little high but pulse came up.   Then yesterday I raised it to 15 mg tab by taking it 3 times a day. Blood pressure 127 / 77 Pulse 75.  Heading out tomorrow morning for 18 holes.    I have my driver set at 10.5* but seem to have my swing speed to low and I can't get the lift on the ball I need.  I have not played this week in hopes I will have the strength to raise my swing speed. I may have to raise my loft to 12* . (I will take my driver wrench) tomorrow. (This Parkinson's is a pain in the butt.)  Will give you a report when I get back.    Retired Old Man, Terry
