6 inches from hitting my head. No fore, no acknowledgement from nearby folks, just dumb looks. Didn't hurt, but J. H. C. I go to this range because it's incredibly convenient. Yeah, I can't help but laugh at it. :-\ .

Ouch! @nevets88 !

Great form BTW at A3!

Ha ha. Thanks.

What would you do if someone called fore. At... the... range... ???

I'm sure I'm not the first, but jeez...

Wow, that is impressive. Kinda crazy what type of shots can come from a bad swing. The near 90 degree toe shot is pretty impressive.

I was at the range last week and I went to the right of this one guy. There was this wood plank on the ground that holds the ropes down to mark the area where we can hit. Well I was standing behind the ropes practicing some stuff before stepping up to the ball. He was hitting a driver and clanked a few right against that plank. I am just standing there not wanting to move up to hit the ball. I was thinking, "I am going to take a driver toe shank right in the back"

The ball came from someone else on the range?

BTW if you had the "straight back, chin up" type of move, it would have hit your head ;-)

Would be pretty epic giving a big Fore shout at the range and watching every dive down lol.

Ha ha. I thought two things. Some kids threw it at me because kids are kids, but none that I could see. Or there were 3 who looked like beginners in one stall and they had a dumbfounded guilty look to them.

This range is a perfect synopsis of New York City. Smokers, people walking out to get their balls, like 5-10 yards out, hearing metal hitting metal all the time - shafts hitting metal supports, keep your head down repeated over and over, etc... People bending the rules, doing whatever the hell they want.

wow....that's crazy.   I assumed there was a golf course bordering the range and somebody hit one OOB onto the range.

    • Day 39: did top golf for an hour with the family. It was fun but also not really like real golf at all. Also did some mirror work - working on the backswing stuff mostly.
    • Day 4, 1/2/26.  Played 18 today;  didn't get a chance to warm up (had I known the range was closed, I'd have hit balls at home first).  Played okay, 92 with three balls in the water.  It was raining for more than half the round and I didn't quite appreciate before today just how much I benefit from roll on both drives and approach shots.  I did not adapt well to this change until about hole 15, which is something I have to figure out.
    • Day 143 1-2 Arch wrist in downswing. Having a SLIGHT cup in the lead wrist at the top now. Only paused swings with some rehearsals before swinging at ball.  Used foam ball.
    • Day 459 - 2026-01-02 Had two guys on GEARS Hybrid, so I hopped on afterward (I'm going to do this a lot more often now). So… I've signed myself up for another month of backswing work in two ways: A little more extension of the trail elbow (got into the upper 90s) Less pelvis turn (low 50s).
