I was glad to see Casey in the mix again. Some reason I have always liked the golfer. Too bad he lost it today.

Same for me. Paul seems like a genuine good bloke.

Yeah he really does. Kinda reminds me of Kuchar always smiling and polite

I wonder if there has been an all-lefty final pairing at a PGA Tour event before Bubba and Langley here now.

What was the deal with Bubba's FW putt on 18?  I was on the phone and noticed they kept repeating the putt.  It looked like he touched the ball, but it only oscillated a tiny bit.

The club did touch the ball, but as there was no movement, there was no penalty. Jack said he had probably done the same thing 10,000 times in his career and only been penalized "once or twice ."

Don't want to take over this thread but just wanted to point out that Henrik Stenson and Victor Dubuisson are battling it out for the Nordea Masters on the golf channel right now. Victor one hole ahead of Stenson and up by one.

Henrik royally screwed up the Par 5 18th hole.

We will now have a 3 person play-off between Thongchai Jaidee, Victor Dubuisson, and Stephen Gallacher.

Thongchai Jaidee wins the Nordea Master with birdie on first play-off hole.

Nice analysis from Peter Kostis!

I was just gonna ask you guys what you thought. I couldn't see much difference in the hip turn between coach and Els though. Maybe I need to see that side by side again.

That little musical bit is cute. Help me Kostis!

Pretty big difference IMO. Kostis was also right about kicking in the right knee and not being open enough at impact.

I defer to you. I think Els's black pants made it harder to see.

I agree it was tough to see Els' hip turn with the black pants, but the analysis was good! Exciting action going on today. Matsuyama and Scott are both playing great. Bubba is all over the place.

I love watching Adam and Hideki's swings. Absolutely perfect. Na was in prime position in the 18th fairway, and he fatted it. If he can get up-and-down for his par, it will be interesting to see whether 13-under will hold up against the other contenders.

Self penalties - He said he only "took a penalty" once or twice - or something like that.

Hopefully, with Jack's commentary to reference, people won't make a stink on this one.....

Na is in the clubhouse at 13-under. That means Hideki, Bubba, or Adam will need to shoot under par on the back nine to win it. Somebody must have told Chris Kirk that he could get into AQ position in the Ryder Cup standings with a high finish: he went on a huge three-hole run to get to 11-under and solo fifth.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
