Weather forecasts for the N/W are notoriously difficult, but it's been hot in London all day with more warm air coming north from France at the moment. Seems like we'll get thunder storms tonight and throughout tomorrow, but when and where is pure guesswork

Tiger just ripped a 3 wood down 18 into the wind 300 yards.

I'm not sure what the game plan was today but he literally hit his driver today like an 8 handicap.  Nike needs to build him a frankenwood 3 wood like Callaway did for Phil.

He just can't consistently hit the driver anymore and it's in his head.  Build him a strong, deep faced 3 wood that's shorter than the driver so he can play 285 yard line drives that roll out to 300-310 yards.

Making the cut? Yes.  Being any kind of factor on the weekend? No way.

I have to say that I really like Duval in the booth. I think he makes some good comments and I like his perspective on things.

Does Tiger want to make the cut?  Honest question.  Just seems disinterested on 17.

Guess that answers my question, Tiger bounces back with a Birdie on 18.  I get that he must have been burning inside on 17, just never seen him walk up and just quickly hit balls like that.  Seemed like that happened quite often today and made it seem to me like he was disinterested.  Part of me was thinking after 17 that he didn't really want to make the cut if he wasn't going to be in the mix coming into Saturday.   Would like to see Fowler win one this weekend.

Yes...

But realistically, he returned from an injury that would have forced anyone else to remain out of competition until 2015. Does anyone realistically expect Tiger to compete  this year (as compared to previous years) or make the Ryder Cup team?

I do not.

Struggle, bubble, toils, and trouble, that is Tiger's game..

Interesting, Azinger said topspin. Then he corrected himself and said there's no such thing, there's less spin.

But who knows, anything can happen...........Im such a sucker! LOL

Rory hit a 397 yard drive and didnt even crack a smile. If I hit one 297 I can almost gaurantee I'd soil myself.

Well....This tournament sucks ass

That's a little extreme dude. Eventually you Tiger homers are going to have to wake up to the reality that he's done.

I can't handle another Euro running away with a major, but should be a great pairing between DJ and Rory tomorrow. Would love to see DJ put some heat on the little leprechaun

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
